I don't know what was the voting criteria, but 6th place in compo for this prod is at least unfair. Looks like friendship voting still feels good.
Compare please with other prods and judge yourself.

Yes it should be ranked much higher. It was second place for me! 6th places seems like bad joke.
What I do like is: concept, logos, track, metaballs and nice code overall. What I dislike: some textures and pallettes (eg credits colors, cube texture and last scene) look too coder-ish.
Anyway it is solid intro and keep on going!

Don't be so pissed, man! You did a great work and a 6th place in such a superb compo is not that bad at all. Also, think about your mates in Appendix who helped you in the creation of this prod. Surely they will be pissed if you stop coding more stuff just because you think that the results were unfair (in my opinion, they were quite legit).
Again, don't feel so bad cause releasing a good Amiga prod is something to be proud of and moreover, don't be so harst with the rest of the competitors cause they also struggled for achieve a good result (I mean, a result in terms of a good prod, and not just a good place cause medals are just pieces of mundane metal and code is ideal and eternal).
About the intro: It has very good music and an awesome Appendix logo. The effects are also quite good but they feel a bit too 1999 sometimes. By the way, a bit of subdivision in the triangles of that bluish cube in the "Matrix" part would have diminished those ugly affine mapping artifacts that surely you can see with your coder/designer glasses on.

I was active Amiga coder between 1995-2000, therefore intro is "a bit too 1999". Now it is my "swan song" let say :-). Old bull men ;-). Inactive for very long time.

Although I don't normally enjoy this type of Amiga 3D demo, I specifically remember rating this above the winner (all sync and no meat). Some objects are really nice and the music rocks. Welcome home to Amiga and don't let partyvoting get you down.

Your intro should have placed first. Now that I have put my glasses on, thanks to your excellent suggestion, I finally realised that. It is, in fact, the best Amiga intro I have ever seen. Nothing comes even close to it. You rule, your code is outstanding and I hope you win any and all intro compos from now on.
not terribly interesting but if you want to take solace in something it's at least better than the nah-kolor one
It's quite ugly most of the time and there's very little "new" or creative stuff going on here. However, the tech seems good (I really want to know how it runs on 030) and the same goes for the chip and drawn pixels.
I voted this low because of garish colors and extremely tiresome c64 wanking which is as fresh as soggy forgotten breakfast cereal after a long day. Techwise it's decent but that doesn't matter because I, in fact, do have my glasses on.

As Mr. Enter acted like a mature human being and thumbed down my Hacker intro I feel very pleased to thumb up his awesome intro (I especially like the really great C64 screen which looks exactly like the real thing). I will watch this intro at least once a day t make sure I praise Mr. Appendix coder in a way he truly deserves.

You know, sometimes one has to get their appendix removed. This is connected to some health issues. Just saying.

Arguing about party results is a bit meh, but since you already started it, I'll give you my 2cts. For me, this intro could have ranked anywhere between #4 and #6. Top 2 positions were quite clear with the massive new synths in there. Rank 3 was quite cheerful with a distict style.
Breadbox is a solid job. I personally don't like the colours, esp. of the cubes in the credits part. I think a few people might have felt the same, hence the ranking.

Overall a good prod but needs improvements on the color palette in few of the effects to make them more eye-candy.

That was something. I truly loved that, only thing I hate it that group has same name as old Finnish punk band. Actually no worries about the Finnish Appendix, becuse they made dicks out of them selves already in like 2006 or like. Keep up good work!

Excellent effects with really nice graphics. An idea to make things C64 themed played well but... the music ruins this prod and probably this is why it was ranked 6th...

I just found it seeing Appendix is releasing again in 2022. That’s good, but as for this prod, it’s a bit of meh and OK, considering this work has for sure some sentimental value for the authors. i would give it a piggie but I don’t like authors being attention whores.
