this was awesome.
Best Production at Sofa-Revision!
best in compo.
I love it!
one of the best entries for sure
Very nice! Dug the soundtrack too.
I really enjoyed this one !
Nice attention to detail!!
very, very nice! probably the best of the compo
Really liked this one. Consistent theme, well executed.
Highly enjoyable. One of my favorites in the compo.
such a solid and consistent piece!
Best in the compo
That was pretty pretty cool!!!
Best of compo for me.
What a trip. Great scene after scene after scene after scene ...
My party favourite!
a really great demo! lengthly but not boring, the code, the visual and the music are all very good!
This looks great, and was my favourite on stream. The playable asteroids gimmick is brilliant, and the greetings effect is stunning. But ...
... SIX HUNDRED MEGABYTES? I mean I realise it's an arbitrary line to draw, what filesize is acceptable for a demo and what isn't.... but the line exists, and I don't know where it is, but it's WAY before 600mb.

Loved this one!
Wow, my favorite Revision2020 demo, for sure!
Obvious winner of the compo for me, one of the few compo productions where we can be sure that the members did not suffer from coronavirus, which is manifested by a lack of taste.
Great demo, stupid to thumb it down for being 600MB when there is no real compo size limit. And it packs down to 200MB, making it the third biggest zip/7z in the compo.
But note to the coders, it's a "faux pas" to thumb up your own production here.

The best of party, specially the music.
phoenix: I didn't notice the other huge entries because I didn't find them interesting enough to download and run them, or care to post a comment. I noticed this one because it was my favourite from the compo. And my thumb down has nothing to do with compo rules. It has to do with my own personal opinion about what constitutes a reasonable filesize for a demo. You might find it stupid, but I disagree.
What gaspode said, so much great content, impressive
Great!
Party favourite. Great theme, awesome content and superb flow.
Encoder killer, but awesome tunnel, music, Vectrex and old computers by the years etc and other nice effects, and cool grettings scene on the water
Great stuff! Looks like something a cooperation between Hackers and ASD would look like.
Clearly my favourite demo of the compo at every level
polished stuff here, ma fav of the pc compo
not a fun of such a retro style but greetings totally sold me. definitely top3 :)
This was my favorite during the compo. It takes a “what if?” concept, runs with it (much farther than the stated idea :-) ) and uses it to create a very consistent, interesting look. It's the strengths of the 1982 Vectrex and the strengths of modern, crisp 1080p graphics wrapped up into one neat little package.
The only thing that doesn't really feel good is the water effect near the end; it looks like someone just copied a Shadertoy example, and doesn't fit in very well.

vectrex!!! super fun, great soundtrack
A biiiig 'Wooot' ! Very nice one !
What a super creative production, best of pc at revision in my book!
Thanks to everyone involved, good job. Very inspiring.
However - that filesize is a serious downer. Especially, because there are no super heavy textures used.

Awesome demo! So much content! Great soundtrack!
I'm pretty sure that's a bit over the Vectrex's capabilities :-)
Best prod through the all sofa Revision 2020 entries.
Wonderful visuals, great synthwave music, well designed and directed.

epic style, epic demo - what else to say...
nice idea, stylish realization
Great mood from visuals & music.
My favourite from the competition. Pretty unique concept, great flow and visuals, amazing music, and a good mix of nostalgia and modern technology.
This is how Tron Legacy should have been directed.
Probably winner of the PC compo for me. Lovely.
No less than lovely!
Very stylish, my fav.
Masterpeace
best by far...so cool transitions...and flow...
powerful
stunning! bonus points for the vector linn drum!
I love its style.
Absolutely magnificient.
looks gorgeous, nice concept, awesome soundtrack.
speechless
amazing!
nice indeed
Very good and solid style. Very well done.
almost an ASD demo (if it had less retro references and more prog metal :P) but that's a compliment for its quality and flow :)
Really nice show, thx!
great prod, lots of fun ideas!
yes yes yes ! fantastic music .. and .. and and .. vectrex!
Selfvoting x 2
reminds me of asd. more pls
bravo à l’équipe derrière cette merveille..
Congratz to you all, long time didn't enjoy a demo like that
everything was perfect , Music, Gfx, Effects, Design, remember me the true spirit of the demoscene.
need more from Spectrals for sure !!!

I love the flow. Demo of the year, I guess.
So smooth and so much surprising content within a well crafted visual design framework. I have to watch it again to spot more the hidden details.
And thank your for the shout out.

Definitely the best demo. Sophisticated, thoughtful and sentimental. I liked it very much. Congratulations!
That tunnel-starfield thing! :D
Ingredients: 10 parts visuals, 1 part music. Not in balance IMO. Nothing wrong with the music itself, but the amount of different ideas and parts in the visuals outdo the music. It doesn't feel like the visuals are a music video for the tune.
and i cant believe i just played ASTEROIDS ! :D
Jaw-dropping production, with part after part I couldn't believe how much great content is stuffed there. Awesome ideas, design, execution (these smooth transitions!) and this atmospheric tune - all fits great. Best demo at RV'2020 and one of the best in the recent years. Surely it will stay in my memory for a long time. Thanks and congratz!
Amazing content and execution turns this into the best first prod ever made (except from Made and Alkama).

Crashes on i7-5820K + GTX 1080
awesome demo with a seamless flow. I like the retro hardware style. Great Work!
Great new-old-school demo, with style
Congratz Alkama for the Giorgio Moroder style soundtrack, lov it!

Deserved winner, this is just great ! CDC if I had one left...
Highly enjoyable, great content :)
Not my favorite of the compo, but still appreciate it very much. Some really cool ideas here. Would like to see more :)
Liked the neat transitions. Excellent use of pointclouds too. Good idea well executed.
Can't thumb this down obviously because the sheer amount of effort. Liked the boy who lost the game a lot but I have no clue how this could have won. It felt like there was just a bit off in most scenes. For example the scene with the water creatures. Just a matter of taste I guess. Thumb up for the effort.
Superb!
Amazing!
Well done guys. This is beautiful
touched me!
overwhelming
perfectly polished! but for me just the #2 of the compo ;-)
Ok since I read about the file size just now, that's indeed quite a steep figure in demo terms. However it does not change the fact that this is a very well made demo, and I enjoyed watching it during the party stream. So thumb it is :)
The imaginary "Vectrex II" effect is quite convincing, now if only someone would build and distribute the actual console!

I really loved the music in this one
Beautiful in all aspects.
Great music and really nice visuals.
This is a really beautiful, beautiful demo. Nothing jaw dropping on the technical side (although that water surface is really well done), but a creation that I really connect to, like I did with 1995.
It's also a demo with an excellent direction, supported by near perfect transitions and perfectly fitting soundtrack. It knows what it wants to be, and nails it. The virtual cable part, with the starry medium and bits of polygons flying is completely my thing, and the transition to the attractor was just gorgeous.
Maybe a few elements could have been polished a tiny bit more (like the transition to the infinite eye), but I imagine how much work was already poured into this, so that's understandable.
I was a bit surprised to discover when running the demo that there were parts I enjoyed more on the stream: the encoding added a bit of blurriness and hue shift that I thought was intentional and worked well, but in the actual demo it turned out to be sharp lines, which broke the illusion of being in a Vectrex world. Still, I'm very much nitpicking here.
Thank you for this piece.

Fantastic!
awesome tune and very professional visuals, you guys rock!
It's rude to just grab the Meteoriks for best direction this early in the year! Give the rest of us some time to be hopeful first.
Seriously though, this was amazing and I simply love how well the demo just flows between scenes to just lock my eyes on screen! Well done!

fantastic!
Solid 1st Demo, good concept.
Epic! I now have a new group to look forward to. Thank you for your brilliance and something fresh for the scene.
See you at Assembly to compete with the big boys ;)

Runs perfect on RTX2080 Ti
Soundtrack, direction everything is great about this one. Worthy winner.
Great demo, loved the phosphor / vector parts and the volumetric stuff!
By the way, It worked great on my W7 and after upgrade it failed on W10, I found a fix: patch the exe with $c3 at offset $2cfb10, something about environment, hope it helps!

I enjoyed this.
Welcome Spectrals!
Wow THAT was an amazing demo, I loved every scene, I loved the music wow! I especially like the folding tunnel and the credits with the jumping screens, the music here in this part is also very spacy!
Keep up the good work!

my favorite ! thanx a lot; it was a cool dream, floating to the other rivers with this wonderfull music and demo :) you rocks :)
The way to win: show a woman with balls under her clothes.
Perfection.
Very nice flow, effects and music!
Very enjoyable! Superb music (extra point for not being yet another dnb track), and among other things, an amazing looking greet-scene. Well done!
Wonderful demo (especially the soundtrack) but I cannot help but think that it would have been more enjoyable without the Vectrex references (even if that's the whole point of the concept).
awesome <3
WOW! Great in every aspect. Superb music, nice effects, great atmosphere, good flow, straight on with no boring parts. Very good !!!
Great demo
excellent transitions and flow, the whole thing feels kinda fresh. clear winner!
Solid
Great prod ! Do a VR port ^^;;
Well done folks!
Loved it in the compo!
I’ve had this song stuck in my head since I first saw it on the stream!
Audio and visuals are so perfectly matched that I’ve had the visuals stuck in my head too! Haha
Wonderful!

Really an unusual demo, allowed me to travel in a kind of weird retro-journey...!!
Bravo Carlos & Mathieu!
+ great job to coders too, everything was coherent
Fantastic team work :)

You've just got to respect all the work that went into this.
great style and mood!
nothing more to say...great!
This was really an "Assembly demo" if you know what I mean. Lots of tricks from the ASD playbook but with nerdy synthwave influences. I like it!
The demo ran pretty well on GTX 1060 but there were some sudden FPS drops at times. I remember that in some talk, Navis made the point that effects should be faded in an out smoothly to avoid such jumps. Maybe it's unfair to nitpick about this in a compo with two Notch demos though :)
I laughed in the Kinect scene because depth map smoothing makes it looks like the coder was wearing a whole body skinsuit.

nice
Pretty. :)
great work! really enjoyed it
Lots of content, not everything coherent, but i felt it was made with love.
My compo favorite.
My compo favorite.
Didn't knew the vectrex was that powerful!
A wonderful demo!
But on a regular Revision this probably wouldn't make it into the top 3.

Couldn't run on my Vectrex. Perhaps need some RAM expansion :)
First sign of new French DemoScene-Supremacy! :)
I ♥ it
Alkama-sans Soundtrack is really outstanding and fits oh so splendid to the theme of the demo!

A worthy winner, well crafted visuals and also great music.
Cool one. Completely different from most of the demos. I like the concept, atmosphere (visuals & music consistency) and smooth transitions between the parts. Great job!
Awesome, I truly liked the first part of the demo. Keep good stuff coming!
Not sure if I wanted this to win, but I'm happy to finally see a tribute to an oldschool machine on PC again that doesn't degrade itself creatively and technically. Instead this was a thoroughly enjoyable, ambitious, and overall just a well put together piece of work <3
Ah, this was the BEST revision 2020 experience
Best prod of the party for me, clearly a labor of love. It contains some ASD vibes for sure.
nice demo and cool soundtrack
Yeah..! What a pleasant trip! Effects smoothly evolving one into another, all glued together with music. Dotted guy playing game kicks (somebody's?) ass! Also very nicely arranged middle-of-the-ocean scene with high Southern Pacific-like swells and stormy sky telling you to better hide than go across ...
... and I would still go ...
... and I would still go ...
pretty good. love the soundtrack also
So gooooooood! It's so easy on the eyes with that consistent and not too bright color scheme. Really liked the underwater city and the jellyfish part. The music is also packing a lot of character. That wonky bassline is drilled into your head by the end of the demo and you just can't help it, you love it!
Flows along very nicely to a fitting tune. Good one!
visuals are kind of a mixed bag to me. the greets part rocks with that waves though. but what a fantastic track! so thumbs for that instead of piggsson
that music! (and the rest too!)
simply fantastic!
Know your frensch scene ^^
Greetings from planet Nah-Kolor (with a K ;)

Coherent and demoish experience. Liked the green line runner and greetings the most, also so smooth flow that couldn't notice the over 7 mins length.
Great and magic demo ! Graphics, musics... A wonderful travel ! Thanx ! ;-)
Love raclette... :-D
Love raclette... :-D
This Made my day. It's got that french touch. Great stuff!
just watched it again and realized I missed many parts at first watch. Really nice demo, I love the "Tron" like spirit a lot!
While this one is obviously well-made (no pun intended) it doesn't engage me and I was actually quite surprised that it won. (Probably goes to show how out of touch I am :D)
It's kind of like an old ASD demo, without the massive overload of content, sprinkled with a tiny bit of Synesthetics without their playfulness & attention to detail. To me it's a bit too oldschool and the scenes feel somewhat empty.
That said, it contains a bunch of nice stuff and I really like the soundtrack, so I can't give it anything else than a thumb up. :)

Supernice....demo with big D
loads of content and best-in-class soundtrack!
This crashed for me about 1 minute in on a Ryzen 3900X/GTX1070/X570/Win10 machine.
Nice.
generic music.
btw i meant no disrespect to alkama cause he is cool cat.
I enjoyed it a lot. Well deserved first place!
Exactly the style I love! Keep up the good work!
I feel love! 😍
superbe!

Wowzie!
Thumbed this up already, but I forgot to emphasize how great the soundtrack is.
Great one.
v well done!!
congratz for meteoriks 2021 nominations ;)
Very nice!
soo much content! great transitions and coherent presentation. it's not easy to keep the attention so long but you do it very well. also lots of neat visual ideas.
it could be a bit shorter to make it more tight, but well. :)
This oozes scene-spirit!

Fantastic prod, the design and atmosphere. Surprised that this one wasn’t nominated to best visuals in the Meteoriks awards.
What an awesome demo. I really like the ambiance and the theme. Vectrex was very innovative for its time, I remember playing it each time I was going to a video game shop close to my place. VX2 brings me back to this time, reminds me the vibe with a really smooth flow and fresh style. The music is vibrant, emotional and synced with some of the effects. Great job everyone.
Very ASD-ish. A bit too slow at times. The greetings part looks great but felt out of place/didn't fit.
I can tell this one was made with love!
Watched this again. Seems this engine can do anything! And the artists are really using it to full effect
Wow, what a blast. The music has something about it from the 90s that I really dig.
LOL at the filesize comments! wake up it's 2023 !
