yes
Appears to be buggy, once I collected something the display was trashed (looked like some blit going haywire) and I had to reboot. All this on a 68000 A500 with disabled external drive as game otherwise wouldn't work.
ok
It looks very funny to play with.Congratulations!
and little gameplay:

Sweet!
I love RetroGuru. This game looks like fun. Will try play the game on my A1200 today or tomorrow.
That looks like playing smooth
I have a Amiga 500 + 2.0 Roms (37.175). The game doesn´t work. I can see the first screen of Fred´s (loading into memory, please wait ...) and then another red screen and nothing else. Thannks.
Looks good
Nice
Very nice game !!! I really like all the "Fred's back" games on the C-64 and this here is as good as them with even more colors, thanks to the Amiga. Great !!! More games like this here would be superb on the Amiga, they play clearly better than all these building-kit games which came out for the system in last years. And by the way, a Amiga-port of the Atari-ST game "Super STario Land", would also be superb. Maybe this comes one day?
Find out just that moment, that also the levels are exactly like in "Fred's back 1", so maybe there is a chance of a "Fred's Journey 2" and "Fred's Journey 3" on the Amiga, with the levels of "Fred's back 2" and "Fred's back 3" then? And then there is also "Fred's in Trouble" on the C-64. Alot levels for new versions of "Fred's Journey" in the future.
great, seem fun to play congratulations :)
my fav of the game compo

I have explained it wrong, sorry. I have a Amiga 500 + / 1 MB chip / 2.0 Roms (37,175). My computer doesn´t have any extra floppy drive, it only have a Gotek unit. I have looked at the information in Sysinfo, everything correct. I have also tried other games and everything is perfect. Thanks for your work. Waiting for further updates. Cheers.
The update has the same problem, red screen. Waiting for further updates. Cheers.
This looks super fun to play, actually a lot more playable than Sqrx. And it's so super cute
Lovely.
Cute. Have to play that soon. Graphics are so sweeet!

The problem was not the memory type allocation.
You could just simple print an error message that any external drives have to be disconnected. This leaves enough memory for the game to run.
I have tried the new updated and it works fine but it feels strange without the intro modules (yes yes, I know, I'm a pain. :D).
Good game, thanks for it!
The game works perfect now. Also the game has very nice graphics and good music. Could I give a recommendation? Fred has no animation when stopped. He could open and close his eyes or move his foot. Also, a second button for the joypad would be interesting. Anyway, the game is perfect If I see something wrong , I´ ll report the problem. Thank you very much for everything and greetings.
Sorry, Fred closes his eyes when time passes. All perfect.
Very nice.
Theres obviously a lot of work in this and the code, gfx and music are great but in the end it just feels like another mario/ggs clone with mediocre gameplay to me, sorry...
Still a thumb for the effort

Kick 2.04 uses 30-35K more memory then Kick 1.3. So the program did not fit into memory. I've sacrificed the intro MODs and one level MOD. Maybe we will add this again in a later version.
I saw on the disk, that the little tool "add21k" was used for this game. Maybe the tool "add36k" could help here?
Cute art style and sweet music. A solid platformer as far as I can tell. If you've ever wanted to play a round head with feet attached to it, here's your chance! LOL
The Amiga can never have enough fresh platformers, especially in our times. Good work! :)
