runs unbearable slow on my pc (amd duron 1ghz, 128mb ram, gf4mx)... for a super-hyper-3d demo it would be understandabkle, but not for a chipdisk. besides that, please restrain from packaging releases in rar-format.

nice little disk, i like it some neat tunes on there... runs fine here (p4 2ghz, 1gb ram, gf4ti) ... whats wrong with packaging in rar-format? next you'll be telling them not to release there prods bcoz they used Alambik!?

Dalezy - joo own my speakers! =)

rar is annoying it requires extra software. Zip can be handled from within windows WITHOUT extra hardware. And the amount of space saved is minimal. Besides...if you dont have broadband, fuck off the internet. *Grins*

I hate chiptunes...but the graphics is nice

ekstra software that is...must stop this smoking weed all the time :D

Great gfx too

I didn't know that this GREAT tune was Ghost'n'goblins! (I know this one from DRAGONS megademo main screen)

Since now I knew only the arcade version, I should try C64 blah :)

Sallow river & bad data are fun

What a buggy interface.

- navigation hardly possible
- fonts screw up
- slow as heck

Someone should fix that as fast as possible. :)

Some nice tunes! :))) But the code was kinda strange. Sometimes it took damn long time be4 changing tune, sometimes it was fast. Font is fucked up, impossible to read (exept the title on the tunes and the menu)
Sometimes the menu didnt reply at all. And Alambik.exe tried to contact the internet lol :) U should fix all the bugs and do a repack, but the tunes was fine, thats the most important thing.

oh, too many clicks from my speakers....:( it's only my problem? or not correctly looped samples? anyway, it's cool. btw, tetris - it's russian old folk melody.....

Scroller is slow as hell, the tune selector bugs out and it keeps crashing. That's bad!

the chips are quite good to excellent...

but the interface is really quite unbearable on a 750mhz box. so piggie until that's solved.
added on the 2003-12-11 11:01:37 by havoc havoc
At first time it crashes. After reboot it work very fluently and I like the musics! Nice work from Dazely and the gang

Oh and Im on search for real old scoopex musicdisk with music by old C64 guy Wittaker. Where can I found it?

what's with the sluggy scroller???? :))
the cubes are fast but the interface and the scroller is like 2-3 seconds per frame :)

the tunes are nice though an...

The logo is excellent, the chips are good, but I find it all a bit too buggy to thumb up.

Magic^Nah stfu

we will make a re-release with more songs, better/faster working interface. but other projects have higher priority, so please, be patient!

TMB: Thnx for the url and sorry for the critical vote. My machine is 1ghz Athlon, Gf2mx, win2k. I read Hiroyoshi's post and reset and it doesn't crash now, but it's hard to select the tunes.
yes i know :D
we have tested it on 4 fast machines, no slow machines unfortunatly hehe
we learned out of it ;)
added on the 2003-12-11 23:14:35 by elkmoose elkmoose
the most ironic thing is that the cubes in the background run smooth as silk... no idea why the interface is so slow.
added on the 2003-12-11 23:39:40 by Gargaj Gargaj
i hence an Almbik bug :D
added on the 2003-12-11 23:52:31 by elkmoose elkmoose
the logo is nice.. I didn't like more than 1 or 2 songs though..

some good music, some very bad... interface is not so nice
added on the 2003-12-12 15:24:09 by spengler spengler
Uses 100% cpu time, interface is hell slow, gives strange error messages on startup and crashes from time to time.

Using alambik for a music disk is sick joke. Kick out the lamers and get yourself a coder, so maybe you one day again are on par with the current scene generation...

Nice gfx and tunes though (albeit the tunes seem to be re-releases).

scamp :) your comment is the bigger joke, werd erwachsen ;)

the file has been removed from our server, as we are working on a totally new version, a real pc exe, no alambik!!! please stay tuned while we get the thing ready for you, thanks!
added on the 2003-12-13 03:42:10 by elkmoose elkmoose
keep up the good work scx and become better and better! Every release from a group in the scene is apriciated! Who wants to scene forever?
added on the 2003-12-13 19:29:39 by magic magic
Good music and a nice interface. Could be a bit smaler in the screensize.

Btw: It seems that I have the old version (filedate: 11.12.2003) and I have no problems. CPU usage is 0% on an Athlon XP 1800+ and used memory is 1212KB. Allow me the question: WTF!?
Ah... not the disk itself but alambik needs that much cpu-usage and some additional memory.
Anyway, the music is it worth.
LINK DONT WORK!
