Wow! Wow! Some stuff are too good for mega drive. I actually don't even know what is realtime and what is animation on cartidge.
Every time I check the prods list I hope to see that blue "S" icon somewhere, especially when the big parties are happening. The demoscene prods for the Mega Drive just keep coming, and this, for sure, is a good one. One ❤️ Love

The music was definitely a highlight of the show. The visuals and effects felt very uneven, although a couple of the offset-effects looked really nice.
Many cool fx, the voxel(?) rocked.I liked also the fountain part..

Ok this was my last prod on Sega Megadrive.
I thought the platform itself could become a great one for oldschool demos, because it's very just in the fact that it rewards work more than gimmicks or easy cheats.
I put thousands of hours of work in this and all I knew on the platform, I went through a 10hours trip (which wasn't bad it itself) to go to Cologne to demonstrate it in front of the demoscene and I was not rewarded. Gimmicks and huge pixels were.
I also went there to try to socialize / make friends but I'm more proficient in hardware hacking than human contact I guess... I am maybe too shy to enjoy it at its finest.
I will not change my mind on what I want to showcase to the demoscene tho, I will resist and double the work if necessary because that's what usually pays in the end.
In any case I think there's something very wrong in the way voting works these days.

People usually go after what they see and hear, without analyzing how tough it was to pull off an effect. Especially if they have no intimate knowledge of the platform.

Very smooth demo, love to see that much particles moving that smooth on a Megadrive. Kudos to the music guy too, it's an unusual but awesome sounding from the YM chip we get there !

Sweet! I wouldn't imagine that tune is coming out of a megadrive. I was watching the youtube, if it runs like that on the real thing the effects must be well optimized. The megadrive is like an A500++ or so?

This is my favorite Genesis demo. It's really the music and the visuals that do it for me. Even though it might not be as "technical" as other demos, it's the kind of demo that engrosses me in a chill way.

What a beauty! This has some impressive effects for NTSC/60 Hz (which is rather low on video bandwidth and thus a bit tricky to make fast effects for compared to PAL/50 Hz) and really lovely soundtrack too! This would have deserved to rank way higher in the compo.
