Watched it on party stream and it was great! New Beat punches again with good effects, nice pace and constant flow. My Falcon can't wait to run it. Congrats!

It's cool that creators didn't try to pull off nextgen 3d stuff and went for oldskool instead at smooth 50fps. Soundtrack is brilliant - I instantly recognized Radix here ;)

I initially expected more modern 3D from Falcon, but with more retro 3D that's how at least we get the full 50fps, and the overall presentation and music kicks ass!

Excellent, my favorite Falcon 030 demo so far. I often complained about the music in Falcon demos, because it did not have the catchiness of the old ST tunes.
This time is over, i really love the music in that one, especially the 2nd part.
Reminds me of some old Jochen Hippel tunes from my childhood.
And the rest of the production is rock-solid too.

Im honoured to receive reference from this rising, shining star; New Beat. Finally seeing this run on my own hardware gives me incredible joy! It's inspiring to see these guys building these quality demos; and radiating these positive vibes to the atari demoscene. More people should follow in New Beat's tracks!

Nice Atari Falcon demo with a rubics cube, and nice music
Atariscener soul touched hard. Perfect direction (regarding the time and energy that must have gone into it, there must be some degree of madness involved), smooth effects, beautiful soundtrack, and then all this positivity, so you won't even reflect of what you see, you just dive into the flow, let it takeover and leave you (well, me) drowned in a feeling of being understood. Thanks for the great message, its so true and uplifting.
Only critics: the interference effect looks a bit ST-ish, compared to the rest. You can do better. The graphics are ok, but not up to the same level as the general presentation.

Version 1.1 of JOY has been released (the download link has been updated).
This new version features compatibility with the 060 mode of CT6xx accelerated Falcons and a number of bug fixes. So no reason to switch to 030 mode anymore. Version 1.1 is identical, both visually and audibly, to the original version released at Sommarhack in July, 2019.

Whoa. A non-8-bit Atari demo that feels fresh, non-derivative and stylish? Great music, combined with great design and effects. Almost redeems the 16+ bit Ataris for me. :P Anyway, great work.
One of the best looking and sounding demos I have ever seen. To me the sync of audio and video is what makes a production truly stand out, and New Beat are pure masters at this. Very nice meeting Anders at GERP too! Really looking forward to your future productions guys.
