It is really nice, I love the iniciative, because A500 can do the game someway. I would like to make some sugestions, if you do not mind:

1. Work on enemies with good design, like the ones on Doom or Quake, lots of classic Amiga Wolf a like has very ugly enemies (Behind The Iron Gate, Nemak 4, Fears). Do not forget to make nice sound effects for them (I can help you with that, I got experience).

2. Some background music would be nice, I know some people that can manage 3 or 2 CH music very well.

Keep the good work, design nice levels, we want to play this game.

Awesome to see more progress, coming along well! With nicer textures, and enemies. Would love keyboard+mouse control! Youtube link added.

meh.. a bit disappointing after all your grandstanding and talking about "what could have been" on english amiga board.

Amazing achievement to see such game running smoothly on A500. Keep it up, looking forward to final version.

You go girl! Looking forward to the ST port of this!

Looks and plays really good, fast and smooth on normal 7MHz Amigas with 1MB memory. Looking forward to the full game and let's hope, that it will come and that it will not take too much time.

Fantastic!
Runs really well and looks good already!
To think that Wolf3D was the main reason for me to get a 386SX-16, and set in the move from Amiga to PC.
If a game like this was around back then, who knows what would have happened :)

Missed the compo at Revision as I was talking to Scali and Tim outside but was really looking forward to seeing this one on the bigscreen. Checked it now here at home and it looks very promising already, runs pretty smooth on the good ol' 68000 A500 as already mentioned. Will definitely check out the final version of this.

That's probably what the "preview" stands for in the name.

Really nice preview. Good that the game mechanism isn't completely a clone of wolfenstein3d either even though naturally inspired from it.

This might bring me to unironically pick up that joystick again.

Engine looks decent for ECS. Good work!

Top quality work as usual :)

although, I still think the wolf-3d part in Superoriginal looks better, even in the copper chunky mode ;)

I didn't get very far before it gurued on fs-uae, but looks very nice. If this runs at a decent framerate on a500 that's a big achievement. Looking forward to future tech previews!

@britelite

This would have been a thumb up, without Hexagon = fake account of Sir and I guess you know it very well.

Anyway, can I ask you if you plan to release the game in the future, or it is yet another programming exercise?

Ciao!

If this is your idea of an apology then I don't really know what to say. What has any of this have to do with me or this game?

You went on your thumbdown rampage (which you still seem to be continuing) all by yourself, so at least have the goddamn courtesy to own it.

Asking never hurts. Next time consider how you're going to present your question.

OK, you don' t know me.

I would have many things to express about the last happenings, anyway I am going to keep it for myself, have no other choice.

Keeping your nonsense to yourself is probably the first smart decision I've seen you make, so congratz on that

Nonsense, only from your point of view, unfortunately.

If you want to continue feeling sorry about yourself, go open a BBS-topic about it, this is not the place for that discussion

Really cool tech! There's quite a bit of stuff going on here that I'd like to hear more about.

Also, BB Image to AlienTech for delivering the worst "it really wasn't my fault and I take no responsibility for my actions" non-excuse I've seen from anyone above the age of 10.

Saw the compo but forgot to vote (so thanks to AlienTech for reminding). Thumb up for fast tech, otherwise really not my kind of stuff, and never was either.

Amazing achievement!
Wonder whether there are some news about... =)
rulez added on the 2020-04-19 08:15:19 by sim sim
No news at the moment. I do have a list of things to implement and fix, and the plan is to complete the game at some point. Motivation for Amiga-related things have been pretty low for quite a while now though, but hopefully that will change...
added on the 2020-04-19 11:08:11 by britelite britelite
cool!

yes
Actually did some work on the game a while ago. Enemy movements are better (they can't walk through walls anymore), sound effects actually work and wall rendering looks better now.

Need to fix a few other things, and maybe I'll release a new preview later this year :)
