I enjoyed this very much during the compo. Not technically impresivne, but a very stylish demo, should’ve ranked higher IMO.
I like that it works as a stylistic counterpart for the recent 64k Cassini by Faemiyah which tackled a similar subject: where Cassini tried to be more of a documentary, Alone eschews realism for a more stylized approach. That ultimately proves to be both its strong and weak points, as it becomes repetitive already by the end of the first half. Not to the point where it becomes annoying, but certainly to the point where it starts noticeably dragging on with nothing to show for it technically. The awesome soundtrack does help alleviate the feeling, but not entirely. So a very weak thumb.
By the way, Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot speech the phrases were taken from was made in response to a photo taken by Voyager 1, but the probe featured was Voyager 2... Is there any explanation for this? :p

Yes, this one can be a bit confusing. The speech is about a photo taken by Voyager 1 indeed, but it was Voyager 2 that visited most planets of the solar system. The speech itself is quite relevant nowdays, and it was Voyager 2 who took the more "exciting" journey (and who has been alone for more time between the two :) ) hence the connection of two. It should have been about the Voyager mission without specification.

I actually liked how high concept this was, even if it was prolly about twice as long as it should've and the satellite kept clipping into the planets :)
