Best CC'18 prod in my opinion. Because of platform, plot, fx and even music. People really enjoyed it at partyplace. I hope i'll write couple of words on hype
wysiwtf: it IS right compo. Prod strictly followed rules of this compo. I'm person who suggested orgz to change rules to allow compete different oldskool platforms in one compo. Yes, it would be better to change compo name to "oldskool" (i hope it will happen next year) but it is was almost impossible to do this year because of "political" reasons - local ZX Spectrum community is very conservative and we have to deal with it.

Nothing interesting as a device, highly limited visual capabilities of 7seg display. Also it looks like digits intensities vary much, that is probably because the author had fried some digits by stopping dynamic indication at them.
Anyway, nice to see how zx demo prize of 500€ has been spilled partly to non-zx related demo :)

SerzhSoft: No. Binary and sources are available and it is not neccessary to run it on hardware exactly at partyplace (there is no such requirement in compo rules, because it is impossible to provide all existing hardware at partyplace).

when you show in your video some addition content - you steal attention from other authors, it's bad way to got more points / ppls hearts. wanna show your real camera handing? - welcome to wildcompo, animcompo. my opinion. and, yes, you can rotate rules as you want, coz you near the table :)))
You don't make sense, SerzhSoft. Demos for obscure platforms have been presented via camera footage for years, and that has never been a problem. If only because not all of them have any sort of video outputs to capture the feed directly, to begin with. In some cases they have to be moved to wild compos because the rules define eligible platforms too strictly or don't allow any kind of video footage. But in this particular case it was fair game. No rule-twisting occurred here, and the footage didn't take advantage of the format in any way.
To be honest, as an organizer I don't see how this could've fit the rules either; sure, it's a Z80-based machine, but that's as close as it gets; it certainly doesn't seem to comply with most of the category rules on the website.
That being said this is all entirely up to the organizers, and even as a wild this would be pretty awesome :)

yep, you can add any avi with real camera movements / color boards / etc in "your zx-spectrum demo compo", kicks clean works from other authors (without extended video features), i'll just smile on it :) [anyway, it's great demo, as i say before]

@Gargaj: As far as I understand, CC orgas combined the ZX demo compo with a generic oldschool demo compo for this year, which prompted the following line in the 640k demo rules: "Demo for ZX Spectrum compatible computers and other computers released before 1992." (The part about the other computers wasn't there a year ago.) I suppose nobody bothered to clarify which of the bullet list items that follow it pertain to ZX prods in particular, but it's obvious that not all of them could be applicable to "other computers".
Cool oldschool demo! Better than some LED prod connected to a ibm pc alike.

Sure but then the question is, where do you draw the line? If any "ZX-like device" can enter a ZX compo, then any of the other rules limiting the actual ZX machines don't make sense cos any prod that steps over those rules can be just claimed to be an "other computer". Personally I think it's a mistake to over-merge compos like this without making clear it's a merged compo.

Gargaj, this year it was a generic Oldskool demo compo really, because any device prior to 1991 could enter the compo. The real problems are in rules:

I love how this is not just a "look we did a demo on a weird device" but actually a super entertaining demo. The music is spectacular given that it's apparently a 1-bit platform nd the visual support it excellently. Hats off!
