I love the "detection boxes" and the tiny alien script writer :) Music has some nice harmonies too.

Shown first in the compo, and 7th place overall... that's disappointing :/

Love the subtle speculars, the smooth glow, and the melody.

This was really nice, definitely better than 7th and 1/9th the winner's points, IMO. But voters vote and they usually like very different things than I do. But hey, almost twice as many points as Dissolute Teriyaki by TUsSu.

My only complaint is that the flying space car thing and some other objects seem too flat shaded and they stand out from the rest of the objects. Maybe its that some things are wide/long enough so the fog gives them a gradient.

Interesting tune, and nice. Great beginning and couple nice ideas afterwards plus visual glitch. Voting/placements are really ridiculous.

I guess this experiment kind of proves that the concept that works in my head, does not necessarily work so well in real life. Well, this is all lessons learned for the next time...

Anyway, it was fun to do 4k again. And special thanks to oo for the tune, it was the best part of the intro :)

Since I've been asked multiple times about making size coding intros in OSX, I decided to make the intro source code and all the tooling open source. Previously I was always worried that people are going to laugh at the bad quality of the code. However, now seeing enough code for other peoples 4k/1k stuff I'm not so concerned anymore, hacks are indeed part of the process no matter what the platform :D

Also, thanks both Firehawk and oo who allowed their parts of the source to be released as well...

Underappreciated imo, should've ended up at least a couple places higher. That said, it did look and sound better on the big screen than it does at home, for who knows what reason (perhaps it's the simplistic shading that becomes more noticeable now that my brain doesn't have to fill the gaps left by my less-than-ideal eyesight). That said, it's also an OSX 4k with open source and a decent amount of content that attempted to tell some kind of story, however rudimentary. A thumb is in order.
