As always a very informative diskmag with *real* content, nice music. Seems better to be the scene's leading diskmag instead of the world's leading one ;)
informative, useful. I like it!!!
props to the pain-team, nice to see pain back. fuckings to Crest for preaching about stuff he obviously knows jack shit about.
I thought the Crest article was refreshingly different viewpoint into partying... Besides, do you really deny the fact that coming down to Germany from Scandinavia makes 90% of the sceners go beer-frenzy? :)
On the mag itself, lots of interesting articles... Perhaps even too much as it was too much to browse in just one night - I'm not used to this big Pain issues. :) The background music was also decent this time, although I would've scrapped the 2nd tune.

Nize! This one kicks ass... and it hurts (-> pain)... Stupid humour! Cool layout and some interesting articles.
much better (except the starting with the snake... very very ugly)... articles are good... better music
Nice issue. SOme interesting articles too, although yeah the second tune was poor.
And i'm with crest on the beer issue, not just at parties but generally. You have just as much fun drinking enough to be half-wasted as you do getting fully wasted, and you're much less of a pain in the arse too.

Pretty cool. The volume-shadow article was sort of outdated, though.
we got on teh chartz!!! \o/
I read that Crest article and I'm somewhat confused.
"Another bad side effect is that you can't talk seriously with drunken people. The parties are the very few chances in a year where you can meet sceners from far away countries to discuss about the scene or our shitty society, but then you can't talk to them because they are only thinking about the next bottle of beer. "
These are very hard words, full with prejudices and with a sort of "elitism" in them. I mean, ask SGT what he thinks about Flapjack. Let's draw the line between having a beer and getting flat drunk, okay?
"I personally can't understand when for example people like Shock from Australia are paying a shitload of money for a trip to Germany and then they are mainly interested in boozing."
It's not about the boozing, it's with WHOM you're boozing with. Having a beer with austrialian sceners is prolly a thing that rarely happens to us Europeans.
I kinda second Kusma, altho not with that rough context. Doing general statements about a group of people is never a good idea.

Nice issue again
nice edition, as usual. i certainly enjoyed tomcats symphony-report.
everything concerning crests article has been said already i guess, tho i'd like to add that the mag felt like hugi when i stumbled upon it. same for zitos filler-comment.

Cool stuff. great atmosphere. and a really funny evoke report by fred.
Well, I didn't read all of it yet cause it's so much and the technical issues also appeared to be too sophisticated yesterday at 4 a.m. -
But what I saw yet rocks.

The fuckings i sent was for the preaching style, not for the content of the article. I-am-so-much-better-than-you writing style pisses me off. especially when it's about something so obviously exadurated. Sure, we all got a bit drunk in the late hours, but I spent a shitload of sober hours there too. It's not all what you see.
It seems Crest is drunk too. Drunk with power. I need to write him a check. A reality check.
Write something controverse and you get feedback, that's all about it. NOT! But atleast on my first Pain article (previous issue) there was exactly 0,0 reaction (ok, one reaction when I talked with Melwyn at Symphony).
Kusma: You must not be dead drunk for yourself to know about alcohol issues. And don't judge me when you don't know me (we have probably never talked together and I don't remember any email or whatever contacts). But this will of coz not stop me to like your previous demos.
Gargaj: I'm far away from stupid elitism (unlike some other ppl here). And I know that Flapjack and Silentriot can be good party organizers since Symphony this year. Hard words have to be said some time. Maybe it's an 'error' but I prefer to talk with people which have a clear head. And I don't say only things which you want to hear. Period!

good
Great! Please use your comment's on Crest's article to feed next Pain issue, not to flood Pouet :)
dixan: I am not an article-writer. also, writing a dont-preach-article would just be being a hypocrite.
crest: i'm not judging you personally, atleast i don't intend to. the fuckings is for the article, nothing else. having to know you is by no means a criteria for judging your article.
demoparties is about fun. i prefer spending my time at parties where i find it most relaxing and entertaing. for me, that happens outside, having a couple of beers with my friends from finland, netherlands, france etc that i don't get to see too often. i don't really se how this can be a problem for anyone in the same way that those who prefer spending their time inside coding or whatever isn't a problem to me.
sure thing, the mess outside after breakpoint is a problem, but party-organisers should be able to predict such problems and handle them. let some local kids clean up in exchange for all the bottle-return or something. it's not really THAT big of a problem IMHO.
gee, this turned out almost long enough for a short pain-article :P

Rox. Still needs a BBS for commentage post-release.
still reading...very interesting content
No complaints...
ok
nice issue.. to Crest, nowdays i only go to demo parties to meet friends, not to sit inside and code or whatever, and drinking beer with friends is just naturally when you don't meet them to often. I usually don't complain about sober people at parties, but maybe i should...
Still there is a difference between drinking beer with friends, and drinking yourself silly.
yes, and not that many people out of 900 (or whatever was the total amount of bp-visitors) was silly drunken.
very nice issue. haven't read crest's article yet... i guess i gotta do that next =)
I think it's the best Pain! Pitty I was to sleepy to read it yesterday because there were a lot of interesting articles I wanted to read. And yes, I did liked the layout the most, it's the best one much better than these boring blue face or something. It's the absolute best!!!
P.S. I want HUGI now..

thank you for this issue wich work on my holliday's small pc config ;)
Very nice issue again, good work PAiN stuff :)
There is just one thing I don't like: why do you have to release articles that are already released before in JP? It reminds me a bit of Hugi, which is not in this case good.

The graphics are excellent, the music was pretty good, but article-wise, there wasn't a lot to hold my interest this time.
Yeah I thought the graphics were nice, although I dislike the layout/menu system.
X-Poole`s track was brilliant, but more importantly.. the content was again not really upto much.

crest should join 4h, just like KUNG SVERRRE(aka xbit)
nice read, not too much of it tho' and reading TMB words c64 and amiga diskmags spring to my mind.. yeah, that's something to desire
Nice gfx and music, also the autochange song-thing was a nice addition (don't remember this from previous issues).
