the scenes felt quite disconnected from each other unlike previous cncd productons and the scenes themself were not progressing very fast yet the music was implying much faster progression. also seems like the mocap is a bit buggy or something? i also feel that some of the lighting made certain objects look distached from the overall production. i did like the music and the last scene looks nice and honestly i wish that scene was the demo.

the direction was lacking (very disconnected), but h o l y f u c k the visuals. volumetrics, sss, absolutely stunning.
Crashes the video driver a few seconds before the eye, so I have to watch 30fps Youtube. Aspect ratio is 4:3 and unchangeable in the resolution selector, while it selects the correct 16:9 resolution by default. The demo does not fill the selected resolution for some godforsaken reason. By the howling devils of the planet built out of letterboxes. Anyway. :)
The circles clipping irked me, otherwise the visuals were top notch and good use of work equipment ;) Some distant ships flying promise a story that is never delivered. So not the strong thumb it could have been but a thumb nonetheless. :)

This is a level above the rest as usual. With motion capture and everything I thought I was watching a commercial production where you paid someone to dance in front of a green screen.
I loved that spaceship in the cloud tunnel scene!
The smoke at the end looks really smooth and not segmented or grainy as I've seen other such wind effects done in the past.

this demo is fantastic in every aspect - and above nearly every production within the competition. i espacially like everything behind "the eye".
why is the scene only celebrating 4ks/64ks these days? just 49 thumbs up two weeks after revision, come on ...

Weird. This demo didn't detect any of my old 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 PC's hardwares. I had to watch it on YouTube. :(
I still think the start is off sync. The music starts and the visuals don't do anything. When the strings kick in at teh start I expected a big sync point but nothing happend. Seems like a false start. Probably will thumb it up later anyway though.
amazing as always from you guys. the camera/eye into tunnel is gorgeous and I love seeing more use of the human form driving effects. my only nitpick is the music at times seems to wander to much. I was surprised it didn't win this smash pc compo :)

Very cool, I would love to try the new volume renderer in the 0.9.21 release of Notch. I hope it's possible to create new custom nodes ... Imagine what would be possible if we could all share custom nodes in an easy and integrated way!

Having watched this I think I can see why this isn't as popular as people would hope it to be - it's just so ephemeral. It builds nicely but the payoff is too short and quickly ends right before you were hoping to see anything; ultimately most people will get a sense of being unfulfilled.
