even that it's not a record breaker, this is my favourite from checkerboard compo.
the part where layers moves one by one looks amazing, but also loving the catchy chippy tune (especially the lead) - fits perfectly for this intro.

I think this one got the best checker board mood with that nice chip and rounded off with a logo on top and a scroller. If not the highest layer count.
Mad props for the technical details in the scroller. I didn't really get half of it after two playfields with 3 bitplanes each, but it felt satisfying to know a bit more about what is the background of this effect. As demo effects go, this one seems to require some careful thought and efficient use of the amiga's custom chips.

rloaderro, I think My Lucky Number by Loonies took highest layer count with 13. Regardless this does something with the checkerboard, has a nice tune, and has some presentation to it, so I'll give it a thumb.
