Excellent! Very design, some effects are really great. +1000 points to gryffindor for avoiding pink / blue for the characters :)

The music is absolutely fantastic technically, altho i think it loses direction midway through. Still, it's such an interesting composition. The rendering is very very artifacty and temporally unstable, really bad IQ going on. It also gets choppy (20-ish fps on a 1070) for not apparent reason. Thumbs up of course, because reasons :D
I agree with both what alkama and reptile said: some very interesting scenes and effects, and technically amazing music, but they just don't seem to work together - the music is super-dramatic and cinematic, but the visuals are kinda slow and geometric... Also, rendering artifacts :(

I enjoyed it *but* it felt a little drawn out and it's a tad buggy on second glance. However, this is worth the thumbs up. Top notch music.

I wasn't so much of a fan of some of the past physical modelling sountrack stuff, but this one... wow. Yeah the scenes were a bit too long as mentioned, but overall this works really well. :)

Basically cpdt summed it up for me. I see the beauty, i hear the beauty, but it feels separate. The music is way over the top in its suggestion of drama/epicness to come - compared to the relatively slow pace of the visuals - but the intro is not going there. And it doesn't need to, because the visuals and direction make total sense in what it is telling. And i am a sucker for clean shapes and surfaces, so you got me there :)

Except the last kissing-scene of this prod. It would be better for this demo, to let this kissing scene just away, because... it is not well made and it destroys some other interpretations of the whole thing. Less would be more.

excellent music, great visuals...but they do not really fit together (dramatic music, un-dramatic story..). also a tad too slow paced.

Yees, the sound track might be a little over the point, but it was (again) so much fun to do the music together with Punqutured so we just let it flow. Thx Andro for stopping us here and there. Hope we can continue this some day. :)

This has been my 2nd solo demo (visuals and direction) so it isn't going to come close to what happens when we work as a full team on a demo.
I started it last year but was far too inexperienced to finish it on time before the previous party of Trsac. So it was time to dust it off and bring it out.
Its technically far from perfect as I still have an awful lot to learn ;-)
For me the main focus was the story, I wanted to convey one being looking for their "other half ", to portray a journey of looking for something that's been lost, and then found.
So the title "Yiqi" means together in Chinese.
Big shout out to everyone who helped me out (you know who you are ;-), Virgill and Punqtured it was (as always) a pleasure to work with the both of you.

The Poo-Brain intros are awesome and have a nice atmosphere. This intro have the same atmosphere that yermom and eidolon had (at least for me). Nice intro.

I liked the rendering quite a bit, and also the bombastic soundtrack. Particularly the character modelling was really cool, and the AO looked really nice against the subtle blue (esp in the makeout scene).
I recall at the party finding the story a bit hard to follow though; I remember thinking there were a lot of shots that just looked like the main character floating and doing nothing else. I see now that it was most likely supposed to convey "searching" but that didn't come through for me at least.
In any case, great work, and I really enjoyed talking to you guys about tools and creativity and whatnot :)
