Very good for a firstie, though blueberry is of course already a great coder on other platforms. Definitely my kind of effect show, though the pacing was a bit slow for my tastes.

Great music and lots of stuff for 4k, is there some kind of Crinkler for C64? :)

Impressive size for the amount of scenes although the effects themselfes were pretty regular.
But very nice code by blueberry and I really like the sid, so big kudos to Response as well!

Smooth chunky effects. Nice!

Really lovely! Was fun to watch this come together and even more fun to see how surprised people were by it at the party - especially after knowing about this since solskogen. Also too funny that we both individually had zoom plasma ideas, though after seeing the impls this is the clear winner :)

The effects are awesome. So many data packed in 4K for C64 and as the first demo of Blueberry on C64, it rox!

Awesome stuff, would be interested in what music routine was used for this, knowing Blueberry I wouldn't be surprised if he wrote one!.

What a great firstie. And a great 4k.

Woah slick execution all the way! smooth tunnels and plasma with a tune which doesn't sound size constrained at all to my SID ears. Round off with a few text effects

fantastic 4k! Starting with a such advanced routines on a new platforms is a little scary (however Ferris did the same).. :) The precission and fluidness of the routines is astonishing. Very good job! (Not to mention the awesome music.)

A few crunchers exist for C64. We used Exomizer. For 4k intros, this seems to be the best. For the time being. ;)

Very good, firstie or not!, although I slightly disagree with the "lots of stuff" comments - it's not *that* much content for a good 8-bit 4k.

But the tune is great, color gradient is very nice, effects are good, and it even has some transitions - so clear thumb up!

Wow, just wow

Kylearan: I used Shadertoy to prototype effects and tweak their parameters to make sure they actually looked good before implementing them.

If you are curious, you can take a look at the prototypes for the flower and plasma effects. The spiral effect is a simple variation of the flower effect and didn't have its own prototype.

@djH0ffman: We had kinda limited time to complete this project, so we ended up using GoatTracker. When the tune was partially done, we made a bunch of different pattern/orderlist-sets, and found some gems for making the music compress quite a great deal more - saving us "a few extra bytes" :)

I'm about to upload the tune, and will add a download link for it soon.
