^ actually, the linked YT video doesn't do it justice. The frame rate on a real console should be butter smooth! (check the .mp4 video capture file included with the scene.org download link!)
I just didn't have the means of creating a smooth video capture of Citra running the rom back in the day. But I decided to upload it anyway, since it shows two full cycles of the demo, while the video on scene.org is cut off prematurely.

I think this could be an old3DS / new3DS difference. I definitely had some perf issues on my console with this (didn't know how to fix these at the time), and it looks about as in the yt capture.
