Great lighting and fx!
Best in show.
Brilliant stuff with hypnoglow!
Excellent.
Not working on AMD/Radeon. Youtube, please.
won't even start on my old machine. so yt/video please :)
Cool idea! It's like an Adrenalin with particles :)
i7 core and demo not starts,too! :(
nice
nice 64k - gets me into the mood of a nice fair (and makes me want to go to one ;))
Made a capture and added a Youtube :)

sonic is calling. he wants his casino night zone back.
neat and trippy 64k :) the music is not bad but I'm not sure if I should like it or not.
ps: thanks anni for yt :)

the music makes me wait for Pharrell to start singing We've come too far, to give up who we are So let's raise the bar and our cups to the stars!
but yeah, prettier than Adrenalin :D

I thought it never stops.
Great trip! <3
Only thing I would complain about is the lack of a fade-out at the end in the music.

.
Nice idea, good minimalistic intro
Blue screen with a black square and stuttering music, doesn't quit on ESC. (HD5850)
I see what you did here, and I approve of it all.
Also, outstanding direction.
Great job guys.

Great job guys.
(also, thanks for the greetings, much appreciated. :) And the fact it runs smoothly with a middle range GPU is nice.)
Music was a tad boring whoaaaaaa that was pretty.
(also, doesn't run because either AMD or simply too old graphics hardware)

In spite of a clear concept and visuals that appeals to me, the lack of focus and direction both for the visuals and music puts me off.
Damn epic :)
gratz for the music and real nice cam effects ! I like those slight detunes.

Adrenalin 64k. Serisouly guys, this rocks !
A bit long and too many bright flashes for me, but otherwise I found it entertaining and pretty :)
Rispect.
I especially enjoyed the bleeding lights looking really nice.
great concept and nice glows and speed shifts
really warm feelings, great lighting and nice music!
Very nice concept, good execution, and I love the music!
ace.
Great 64k!
It somehow feels like the trees don't fit in the scenery for my taste but that doesn't change the fact that i like it :)

LOVE IT!!! Totally amazing atmosphere - being drunk in Disneyland!
nice idea. nice feel. good music - did it.
fresh! immediately waited for a brutal beat when i first heard the detune :) liked the concept. postfx are great as always!
great intro. i love the style. the music is awesome.
could be one of my favourite Mercury releases.
Soester Kirmes.

Very entertaining !
Fucking good <3!
id give it a weak thumb up (because the music rulez) but apparently i already have...
shinning bright through the night! great music
the visuals certainly had a lot of potential, which didn't quite come through in the intro. piggy for that.
light effects are good, but the demo is too abstract for me. maybe unlinked objects are more easy to fit in 64k than reality scenes...
i like :)
Interesting style! The music is a tad repetitive and the camera paths seem semi-random, tho.
nice!
luma
Fabulous!
Truly lovely all around. Love the postprocessing effects and the theme, as well as the direction.
This is so awesome! Digital love put in motion, more of this please :)
i think the principles of a fair work very well here.
Flashy lights, chaos, fast changing perspektives with diffuse optics.
And even the corny (but well produced) music fits.

hooo what a cute intro <3
and the music is really nice too!

The kaleidoscope part and the motion blur were the good bits, the rest just didn't work on any level - the synth stuttering half the time probably didn't help :(
Love the visual style and feeling, colors, postfx, music, pretty much everything except direction, which I think could use some tuning. However, I think everything else makes up for it and the whole intro just looks & feels great.
It was also great to meet you urs and cupe and thanks for letting me to take a peek at your demotool - it looked awesome and you gave me a lot of new ideas to think about!

Additive blending strikes again! ;-)
Probably my favorite production of the whole Payback. Good job guys, congratulations!
Overall gives me the feelings I had in the techno club back in the 90ies, cool.
Some individual parts were just insanely beautiful, and the music had it's moments, but overall I'm with lug00ber and firebug on this.
Really nice direction, lovely music, enjoyed it!
Loved the music in this but from the chord progressions I felt just like Maali :D
Everything done right here, from the idea, thru the code, the music-choice, the post-process to the execution.
Feels like being on a fair for some longer -> 6 Beers and some Vodkas later! ;)
Nice to find out black ain´t that bad as a background in a demo, as everyone wants to imply you in todays scene, isn´t it? ;) From an artistic point of view: "You need sth the colors can stand out against" [/BobRoss]

nice one.
reminded me of http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=5599 :)
reminded me of http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=5599 :)
exactly that. couldn´t remember which demo or which group, although i thought "smash" immediately first. thats why i didnt mention it in the end; my paragraphs are big enough everytime anyway!
- very nice HDR motionblur!
<3!
the volksfest feeling ;-)
Not a fan of funfair scenes but great demo!!
Love the motionblur
.
reminds of Adrenalin by SDS ofcoz. nice N.E.O.N. stuff!
supergeil
Computerkirmes rules!
Solid product, the style i like!
Love the style. The music is awesome. A+
wow! supercool intro, blows my mind in many ways! there's something warm and soothing to the whole production which is very rare in the demoscene! good job!
That wonderful thing just immediately puts me in a good mood each time I watch it. Thanks a lot for that freshness
very nice
Love the glow!
64k>4k, and here's the perfect example!
I like it ! The motion blur is ace !
Pretty even though it didn't run on my anicent Windows XP Pro. SP3 box with its ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 Mb of VRAM). :(
Cool stuff, but I hope you'll make this compatible with AMD as well.
♡
beautiful!
I really like the theme! Well done 64k.
meant to be thumb up!
I dig the colors and post-proc (plus I'm a sucker for glowy stuff), but the composition of the scenes really put me off. Soundtrack was not bad but a tad too dull to support the visuals. Piggie it is :)
So less is not more. More is More ;)
More glow, more colors. hephep!
More glow, more colors. hephep!
Finally got around to watching it without the mpeg artifacts. Gorgeous blur and glare and all.
Nice motion blur!
wow great music & fx. i like the whole style, colors and dynamic.
There's some really nice work in the "look"-department here, but overall there is no story, no real concept, and the music was just not my cup of tea - it also just goes on and on. Less is more. :)
great music and graphic, very nice
I wish I could have ridden on the rollercoaster.
What Gargaj said
Beautiful visuals, awesome music!
Great atmosphere, hypnotic ! Music rocks !
great
wow !! really beautiful visuals with an awesome music !!!
and perhaps a download link for the music ? please !! :)

short and happy
Absolutely love the graphics on this 64k demo!
I like the analog style !
i like the atmosphere
a bit more events would have been cooler, but this is already megacool.
After giving up to turn the brightness down I started to really like it.
Feels a tad repetitive and not that well-synced to the music at times (only watched the video, though), but the atmosphere and the camera shakes are really nice!

I'm possibly missing something since some people seem fond of the direction, but it just didn't connect with me at all. I liked the postprocessing, but the lens dirt was distracting.
just 64k!? Amazing!
Feels like a new intro :) But again you didn't fade out the music in the end. It ends with a click.
Wish fairs were as nice as this!

FIX_ATI = fmul(i,anal); // still an anagram, as in the previously masturbated oneliner already! :p
*putting back mercury on the cracksList!*
anagram of "luma final" btw! :p
(you delivered, i exxagerated based on postFX, your fault! :p)

OMG! This is a really nice concept. Amazing, how showing less can give so much more (compared e.g. to SD/Adrenalin). I'm personally totally blown away by the shaky and really abstract/blurry scenes. Could have been one of my new favorites, if it would have been even more abstract and vage.
And obviously you remember this from Siggraph :-)

Doesn't work on ATI 6850...
Absolutely new approach to the demo. Neonish ideas are known, but noone has never apporached it in such a simple thus effective way! Good direction, music and code. I really nejoyed this ine and imagine what the demo did to the partyplace audience!
Congratulations!
@peturba
Does not work so yeah, let's DUMB DOWN.... (palmface).

Can't really not thumb it up, but it feels like a flyby. Pretty one though...
Whoowhooo! Blinkenlights achterbahn in my head! I fucking love it.
I especially loved the keleidoscope part, that was pure dope.

trippy :)
Mercury should just go and start making the videos for Daft Punk.
top
music! Heard it on Scenes from the Burgh and started compulsively searching all scene sites for it :) Search key => trackname = lumerica
Also fantastic optical effects (dispersion, persistence, halo, lens flare, ...). A well-deserved win.
Nice
thanks 4 the final! \o/
nice 64k, the fun fair theme is horribly cheesy though

good title is FUNFAIR, no ?! ^^
Dope!
amazing
I love it!
Another Glanzleistung =)
good work mates.
good work mates.
A virtual trip to the fun fair? Count me in! I like this a lot!
Win7 64bit Ultimate
HD 5870, 12GB RAM, Phenom II x6 1090T clocked at 3.75Ghz
Running the ATI final version, gives me not the scene that I see on Youtube at all.

nice music .. but the rest..
ugly and messy.
Absolutely loved it. The indirect approach, where instead of showing things, things are just suggested, it works great. Leaves space for the viewer's imagination. Plus, the sound track to die for.
Great stuffs!
i like this
great visuals
nice
The stars on the ferris wheel are kind of goofy on my end (R9 290), really awesome prod otherwise!
Работает AMD R9 270x ( 13.12 ) :)
It's... interesting. But cool.
Loved it!
Perfect!
Nice
Love the music, but in the party version I just get a black screen with some noise, and in the final I get an animated skybox but nothing on top of it. Windows 8.1, nVidia GTX 980.
Any ideas? :/

teehee <3

Black screen with noise, music plays. Any ideas?

kinda good, but what dnlb and flandyn said
great 64k
Very nice intro, great visuals, fitting music.
Works on wine 3.19 staging! Used to produce a blank screen for a long time. (GeForce GTX 770/PCIe/SSE2, Linux 4.18.16)
This happens when you code a demo after seeing the streetlights in your home town.
rulez - I burned out.
Very nice
Best music on a 64k demo I've ever heard.
vibes
quite nice rendering, moblur and composition, don't know about the music - it doesn't hit what it's trying to achieve fully i think.
Nice.
Forgot to thumb this, really like the concept and the music. Still highly enjoyable 10 years after its release !
