Ah, it finally clicked into place! At 00:40 in this demo, the tune kicks into "Space Debris" in my head. :) (listen at 01:22).
Mixed them together for good measure. :)

Heh, it seems that I kind of "stole" a melody from Space Debris. Sorry, didn't actually mean to do so. On the other hand the track is indeed a collection of demosong clichés and there's probably a lot of recycled material in it.
