There's now been a few 'oldskool' demos using new school technology. So far this is my favourite! Although I do wonder how interesting this might be to those who are relatively new to the scene...
After the progress bar, it quits to the desktop... :-(

same shit. It says 'Atari memory test' and does nothing for a few seconds, then dumps back to windows.

the altair guys say it's the win2k/xp fault.. try it on a win9x machine or wait for the final.. 8]

ok demo, cool music, but the fact that most OpenGL coders are too dumb to set up a fullscreen mode makes me weep silently.

If you're talking about taskbar being visible at the very beginning of initialization, it was just a matter of setting video mode before creating the window.

It's cute! :-)
Also it's small, the chiptune is very nice and all the cliche effects are made quite well... Although in the rotating red ball scroller, the light spot should rotate as well, no? :-P
Question: How difficult would it be to keep rendering the effects during the transitions?
