This deserves some sort of special credit for dropping down to 5 fps during both the kefrens bars and the interference part. I didn't know that was possible.

What Gargaj said.
Strange that some effects are pretty smooth and others are as slow as I could never achieve even in software rendering. Is it a bug?
interference is 1FPS, win7 64 i7 @5GHz, API problem maybe?
Ok, I see it's possible even in I7 to kill it. I made test with 800*600, did floats per every pixel was still ok speed. I added just one sin per pixel, dropped the speed like in the demo. Precalc your math man :)
Well... The demo's unwatchable thanks to the framerate dropping to single digits on powerful systems.
Perhaps it's having issues with 64-bit processors? I don't have a 32-bit machine handy to check, but it could be the reason.

Runs fine on my 7 year old WinXP notebook. Stutters a bit at times for like half a second as if it was java and garbage collecting, but other than that, super smooth. Oink.
Ran windowed at the compo - maybe something in the videobuffer management?
A bit like watching a mid 80s amiga demo, emulated on an early 90s pc..
Funny Amiga-Tune.
congrats at being unable to show a collection of 8mhz effects on 8 cores at 3,6ghz!
Damn, dat framerate!
eww your code sucks.
I can say that your i7's sucks :D because it ran on my old Athlon64 just fine ;)
and reminds me of my first freebasic crapmos :)
