Tomaes: Nah, TBL would have won anyway. But it's perhaps not smart to say something like that in a demo. But it was a good demo anyway, even if I don't remember much of it. Stylish.

as the only serious challengers to TBL (now that Loonies have gone into the wanking business :))) I'd say that Mawi are doing very good.. I still feel that i lacked coherence in the demo.. but perhaps i just didnt understand it. looking forward to watching the AVI as i dont have any ppc..

I dunno. I didn't think this was all that great. But it was very nice to see plenty of 2D artwork used in a demo. It'd be great to see more of that return to productions. Used to be a regular feature, "back in the day."

it seems like fate fits karma is missing 1 dimension, feeling mostly like a slideshow of nice "flat" scenes.. Maybe better transitions + use of elevation/depth next time?
WOW! one of the best newschool amiga demos i ever saw. of course, it's a bit overloaded and incoherent, but it's clear to see that mawi are just bursting from fresh talents. all elements together give a quite confusing impression, but each element is a masterpiece in itself. respect!

Another fantastic demo. I love the way Mawi use effects as part of a complete design (as opposed to being thrown aimlessly on screen one after another).

that is the mawi style...it has its own kind of design and i like it. too bad i don't own a PPC so i just could watch these mawi masterpieces on parties...

- Great maximal design screens by azzarro
- Music was not bad in its own right.. Remix of My Kingdom?

- didnt have any impact or dynamics. it felt like every part came at the wrong time. Maybe the music wasnt dynamic enough to create one of those necessary demo highlight peaks..
- I dont see any relation between the dirty graphics and the houselike theme.. felt more like discoing or somethign :) I would have liked a tune in the style of the prodigy/dust bros voodoo people remix instead. (probably called something techno like, diz iz a mix of dirty mud house and chemical acid urbanizm with a squirt of cowboyhouse and 60s breaks.. yeah.. dj muddy asshole on da decks will spin da plates in ya face).
Make a demo that goes like this..
..--...::.XXXXX!!!.... where the strength of the characters reflect the intensity of the demo (or something) .. :)
