ouch my eyes. looks like stefan designed this. piggy for nv :P
I like the colours, the effects and the music (which would have been even better if you would have extended the vocals a bit).

Nice effect and a lot of triangles.

I still find running browser demos locally somewhat over-complicated, I prefer real binaries.
We don't have time for this. Maybe provide something that automatically starts the damn browser with the parameters you need (don't we have a demotool for this?).

Please, delete those hidden files.

A bit like las said, it did took three browser windows (I even tried IE) before I could get it to work. Also some of the models were a bit rough, modelling and texture-wise. There were some nice parts for sure, but in general it was a bit humm-humm. Thumb up for getting stuff in a browser and NVscene, thumb down for some of the models and the weird texturing. If it helps, it balances a lot between a piggy and thumb up.

This is so american. Wonderful glitch/esoteric/outsider/-art, and the thing runs quite fast. Not sure how I like this as an invite, but as a demo the thumb direction is definite. This is the kind of stuff I like to see from people who aren't part of the scene's incestation.

Also I tend to agree with las. Thankfully there's an online version: http://cabbi.bo/nvs/

looks like "my first 3D experiment". blobs moving on black background, then black for half a minute with music. ran on ff33

this is quite badly coded. the screen shot and what i get here, is totally unrelated.

Watched the online version with Chromium (Version 37.0.2062.120 Ubuntu 12.04 (281580) (64-bit)) + Intel HD 4000. Worked flawlessly, no black scenes, …
Not my cup of tea. Missing some /action/, still worth watching. I dig the triangle-"style".

Ok effort.

I had a lot of comments about it but as I'm not even able to code anything, I'll just close the door.
Replaced the screenshot with something more representative. :)

And yes, it seems to be Chrome-only, as most stuff is missing in Firefox.

Same as leGend, win81+chrome(latest)+nv860m(latest). No thumb down but fix it please.

Thanks all for the kind words and feedback!

I'm in definite agreement that running a web demo locally is SILLY. The only reason I ever would put myself having to not use compute / geometry shaders is just because having to only deal with a link is A++ . Thought I had put a link to the web version. ( added now, waiting for approval )

Doing this one has taught me that I really really really need to make a toolchain though. Hand coding each transition takes way too long. ( and each change means going and rewatching the entire demo... )

I'll see if I can fix the black for 1/2 minute with music. I have NO idea why that is :(

I liked that this was a bit strange and unusual in style and managed to go into places I didn't expect, even if they were ugly.
rulez added on the 2014-11-10 17:16:25 by visy visy
If it were not for the ugly colors, this could have been a nice demo! Lots of potential in there, and with some extra work this might have been great.

Still, thumb up for the distinct style!

I quite liked the iridescent colours, good stuff all round, love the quilt too.

What moqui and kimi said.

Additionally for your toolchain check:

I'm not sure if I saw the right thing; there were a lot of black screens and sometimes it looked too simple with colors that remind me of normal maps

Thumb down for a distinct eyecancer style. Seriously, wtf.

main effect wasn't all that bad but definitely needed more polishing as a whole.

Mog! thanks for those links. I've been watching frame.js especially closely, and definitely plan to use it. Additionally I've been working on my own sequencer. Getting them all to work together is more difficult :)

If you're going to moan about opening browser to run a demo, imagine how people have no time for opening a browser to download your missing bullshit D3Dxxx.DLL next time you make a 64k.

This I like very much.
And I have to say it must be the first demo that does 3150x1204@120fps nonstop except for one second.
