Filling the twister is trivial and even for 1k you should be able to make it fast.

o, yeah. funny to see how Oswald manage it xD
there's a c64 4k which manages to pregenerate twister phases dithered, shaded, so oviously its nothing impossible. on cpc its moving bytes in worst case, but as in batman forever demo it looks like it is possible to select gfx lines by manipulating video registers on the cpc, so ? its just disappointing seeing a more powerful cpu with cool 16 col gfx mode showcasing this...

As I explained, I see some intros using r12/r13 with adressing, but i am still stuck with this task. In such case filled twister looks very fast imho.

I still think it's a very nice effect, big and wide twisty (most other twisters don't swing around). Most probably it's possible to fill even with software rendering, the area of the twisters seems to be less than 1/5th of the 16k screen and the CPC is fast enough with optimized unrolled codes for this. But of course you have to also erase with dirty rectangle because it moves around so maybe it's a bit more work.
12/13 is fine, I understand them. The harder for me now is to synchronize a stable line splitting. I left this attempt some months ago, but I will come back to this. I want to try two new effects with this for a future demo. Maybe we will talk when I come back to this and manage to make it work.
