I'm going to give it a thumbs up, since it's the speecy version on steroids :)
Well it freezed three times during the presentation but it's nice anyway :)
Jetpac + Jagualr = Rulez (obviously), but did it win?
I always considered Jetpac overrated, whether it runs on a Spectrum or a Jaguar. But i like the idea behind it (a bit).
It's actually pretty addictive once you play it. Unfortunately we didn't manage to show this at the party.
I feel bad for cyrano :(
Before the results came out I was sure that it would win. This should have been in the top three positions, not 5th!

Did not know Jaguar could display less than 16 colours.
it crashed when it was demo'ed.. does it run stable at all? I didn't even know CJ was in Sinister Dev let alone coded the Jag..
Too bad the game was so unstable during the compo, I quite enjoy Jetpac. It's always nice to see a new game on the Jaguar, but I'd expect better graphics considering the specs of the console. If you have the game running ok, updating the graphics should be easy :)
@earx and exocet: The game runs very stable. The problem was that we hadn't read the manual for the skunkboard carefully so we had the usb cable connected. Some motion caused the board to go a bit out of place and that made the console hang.
The game also runs with virtual jaguar so if anyone wants to try it out..

Some corrections:
a) It doesn't run in virtual jaguar I'm afraid, so you'll have to either use a skunkboard or a bjl cable on a modded jag (or an alpine board I guess if you have one)
b) I just tried the game on two different jaguars, the one used on the party included. Turns out that there is a bug at the code that reads the jagpad that makes the jaguar crash if a button combo is pressed (A+C I think).
c) It's completely done in 48 hours :)
So, you're quite safe as long as you use only button b (which incidentally is the only button you need :))
We might release a bugfixed version in the future!

Jaguar !
Nice Jaguar port, but really really hard in 60hz prolly should be played in 50hz :D
The only place now available:
ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/users/ggn/Jag%20PD%20collection/D-Bug/
ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/users/ggn/Jag%20PD%20collection/D-Bug/
Could have been graphically retouched.
Nice port anyway!

It was written by Cyrano Jones back in 1995 or so in 2 days, in order for him to get acquainted with the Jaguar hardware (he had no previous experience ;)). It was meant to be included as an easter egg in Sinister Developments' game, Slam racer. Unfortunately, two issues arose: a) Rare (Ultimate) didn't give permission for Jetpac to be included in Slam racer, b) Atari went belly up about two weeks before Sinister Dev. handed the game to them :(.
After about 14 years later the source was found on old backup media, some issues were quickly resolved and it was handed over to the Outline 2009 game compo!
As I had virtually NO involvement with this game, I'm going to give it a thumbs up, since it's the speecy version on steroids :)
