this is such a beautie! a real piece of history ;p
Damn cool!
So...What is the guy on the adveret doing? "Generating" graphics or spreading lies about "real time generating"? A classic advetisment - full of lies.
Kudos for the effort!

awesome!
i don't get - what is the point of demo?
Cool story bro! 40 years after marketing bullshit became reality
outstanding concept.
Hehe, I found it funny.
this is history! cool!
Made wishes come true ;)
To my feel, it was hugely under-estimated at the party JUST because it was in wild, not in 1k. The loading screen is also crap to my taste :) Would like to see it in 1k compo.
Then, I've thought the author carefully coded drawing routines to get that neat pic, but it turned out he just packed the picture and the whole intro reduced down to drawing horizontal border bars with some beeps between -- quite a disappointment for me.
No vote here -- already was one from me at the party :)

hm
sensational
Please explain.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing! The advert also shows that the image has been printed out. Is this a feature of the 'intro', or something that can be done at any time anyway?
10 thumbs up! What a beautiful mystification! I am really upset I did not invent anything like that before. A backround story about a shoebox with a mysterious old tape, a unique demo from 1982 found there. Something like the "Blair Witch Project"? It would be nice to make a cool old-style demo, to tell others I found it on old tapes from a guy who called himself Denis/Prisoners and to present it as a great but unfinished sequel to his Digi Synth. What is interesting, there were a couple of old, unreleased commercial games found on old dusty microdrives somewhere in the attic. Or some unused sprites (or even colourful pictures by Mark R. Jones for Total Recall!) at least.
introspec is just a fricking concept-genius human being.
@introspec:
...What about the brownish monitor-screen? Not color-one but brown?

and there are no brown/orange colours in the palette

Very good. Real coders-porn.
Fullscreen multicolour AND BEEPER music! ha.
Fullscreen multicolour AND BEEPER music! ha.
Nice idea!
Almost perfect mystification. The "scanned paper" lacks raster dots. Besides, very good work - multicolour & beeper. :)
Okay, now I get it. Multiple thumbs up :)
And now the selling rates are increasing... :)

at a car boot sale in Windsor. The seller claimed to have found the
box in the loft of his house, left there, amongst other things, by one
of previous owners. In addition to several old games by Artic Computing
and Ultimate, most of the tapes in the box were boring educational
programs published by the Sinclair Research in the early 1980s. However,
one of the tapes attracted my attention. It was a regular Type 1 BASF
cassette, with a word "Splash" handwritten on one side and "do not
distribute / Sinclair Research Ltd" on the other. Neither the date of
the recording, nor the author (authors?) of the program were indicated.
Recorded on the tape was just one short program, enclosed here.
