Looking at the prods size and its presentation it feels like another raped game engine for demos sake.
Some of the models also looked a bit unpolished and edgy as well.
However, the pace, direction and soundwork of the demo is very cool, it certainly has a visualice-ish touch to it.

I can very well imagine getting the chills while watching this on the bigscreen in the right mood.

haven't seen it yet (still d/ling - rate is low) - maybe it's good - but the filesize already makes that piggie. TOO BIG. you know the drill. ;)

I love the really eerie feeling this prod creates. The ambient-ish track really works well to both set the mood and accentuate the sudden flashes and movements in the otherwise calm environment. The first "teasing" flash of the zombie guys is really well done in particular, and probably my favourite moment when I first saw it.

And boy did it look a lot better at home with vsync working :D

But yeah, the size is a bit wtf.

Anything that reminds me of Pitchshifter's "Hidden Agenda" video gets a thumb, but this one has some brilliant editing/pacing/shots that just make it really good.

@numtek Sorry. None of us had an AMD card around to test that would run modern GL. We're polishing some stuff we didn't get the time to do at the party for a final, so I'll look into it if I can get access to proper hardware. Thanks.

Even though I don't like this kind of demo, I like this demo enough to thumb it up, which should say a lot about the demo.. Or something..

Men dere burde se den derre Eivind-demoen, den har jeg hørt er ganske bra, dog litt teit..

What gargaj and eladamri said. It truly evokes a special mood and I love the lighting and the somewhat disjointed look.

@Puryx: No error message? I haven't made a final yet (enjoying some time off from coding) , but numtek did mention AMD issues. Other than that, the party version does ask for a GL 4.3 context though.

This looks like alien abduction atmosphere at first sight.

Boy, that live-capture was unwatchable - disable autofocus next time.

Can't get it to run at home (Windows 8, GFX690) so a proper video capture would be nice.

Got it working. This is pretty good I must say - very nice mood, and the opening 40 seconds are _stellar_. However, once that unnaturally moving tentacle-thingie starts dancing around, the eerieness and style went down quite a bit. The scene with the sideways blinking lights and the stone-people was good too though. Just wish it all was more consistent.

terribly fugly at times but i like its mood and camera/lights. also insane filesize for what's actually there to be seen
good direction, has alot of atmosphere! good use of the glow/flash effect. awsome soundtrack!

Didn't get it to run here, so based on youtube: really, really great stuff. The tentacle thing is a little weak, but the rest of it... damn, nice work!

Starts quite good and creates a creepy mood. but then it gets nowhere. Still thumb up because the music is awesome.
