I like the athmosphere here - the "coldness" is nicely captured. I assume the noise is representing the engine of a plane.

lovely <3 good cold breeze in these hot summer days :D
the visuals are amazing!
About the sound: when I launch the .html gives an helicopter feeling which is quite good, while it was quite bland on the stream (see http://archive.assembly.org/2013/1k-intro/andes-by-p01-ribbon).
I don't know what was intended, but it works quite well if you imagine you are in an helicopter :).

Love it.
Very nice!
Not working with FF 22 here.
Top.
Already done: http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=50688
Yes Himalaya comes to mind, still nice.
1k? = rulez
Quite cool actually!
Very nice visual
There have been landscapes even before those mentioned here. On it's own this was awesome!
Ofcourse with it being such a nice 1k, I was hoping for a climax but I understand that was a bit too much to ask. Great work!

Awesome, as usual. Great work, man.
missing something in the end, or melodies to be a real elevated clone :p still, great stuff for 1k
Where's a link to a live version?
nm, I see the DL link. I just assumed it would be hosted somewhere.
i'm not a JS fan, but it looks nice
hmm... doesn't run under latest chromium linux... (got the source code displayed on the page)
Nice landscape. ok.
actually surprised it placed only 4th
nice!
it does look nice.
Pleasant to look at. But would like see some snowflakes(white dots falling) too. Top job anyway.
Wow, nice.
This one really good!

Sure it has less features. A lot less actually. However I believe the camera, design and color treatment bring something to the table.
Beside it's been 5 years since Himalaya, and both Himalaya and ANDES use a very different set of technologies. If TBC, or anybody find an offense there. I'm sorry, it was not my intention to rip off HIMALAYA. If anything, the name, ANDES is an homage to Himalaya.
Hope people will appreciate ANDES on its own merits.
perfectly fine explanation, and I do in fact like this one better :) has less impact on technical merits but it's certainly better designwise.
this is fresh !
Packed version works fine now but the whole intro is kinda slow. Anyways, thumb up.
Very well executed Andes and the noise wind soundscape fits well int those.
p01: despite the coldness of the Andes it warms me up a lot remembering sitting next to you at asm'06 and now seeing that we're both still there and active.

Elavated in 1k on the web :)
love it! :)
Incredible... again.
Beautiful.
rulez.
Hm... landscape and sound appear, but without animation?
Awesome, albeit a bit thin on the music department. ;)
looks more like a problem with no "window." in front of it... anyway, setTimeout worked well on both FF and Opera
Nice work p01
Ace prod!
Crazy as usual
