Very stylish and awesome demo. Requires 512kb REU, though.

Cool graphics and sine scrollers :)
the music <3 awesome prod (= any chance to get the track as .mp3?
That x/y distorted scroller was ace
A bit ADHD but very good.
Awesome! Nice scroller etc. Great job guys!
Cool but needs REU
Very enjoyable! Good thing I didn't trash that REU yet ;-)
Great demo with expertly crafted visuals, well done.
Personally I like it best when C64 (and Vic 20) demos run on stock hardware, so I hope that 512k REU doesn't become the new standard.

kewl scrollers, nice graphics, fitting music, but i miss some effects ;)
nice demo!
I don't quite like demos with slower pace, but the solid effects make this a solid thumbs up!
Nice demo with great music but the 512k requirement spoils it quite a bit for me. Shouldn't all this be possible on a standard C64? This is a genuine question and no flaming as I'd really like to know what the 512k are used for.
Really nice demo. Love the flow, the graphics and the smooth effects.
@Stingray: It's not the extra ram that is the reason they used a REU, but rather the fast memory transfering (DMA) that can be done by using the REU controller.
Seeing that this demo was competing in an Oldschool compo at a PC party and not a C64 compo it could potentially be competing against Amiga demos (OCS/ECS) which more often than not use memory expansions (most Amiga 500 demos require 1mb+). So I don't see the fuzz about using the same advantage on the 64 in that case. Although I also prefer C64 demos to not require REU's.

Edit: I see now that the oldschool compo was for all Amigas (and Atari etc.). That could mean 68060@50mhz with 32mb.
I'm with StingRay (just this once ;-).
I simply adore the graphics and respect the huge amount of effort that has apparently gone into this demo and that scroller in the screenshot is just plain awesome, but i would have enjoyed it even more - much like Mermaid - if this was running on a stock C64.

what knoeki said! And to add, this was an awesome unexpected surprise :D
easily THE prod of the party.
BHF, iirc there was a small demo 10-11 years ago from TMR/Cosine that used the DMA, but it's nowhere near as massive as this one.
Today, everyone can see this in an emulator or on youtube, yes. Not everyone can see it on their actual C64 though, that was my point. It's still a great demo (and I said so both on CSDb and here). I'm not trying to put you or the demo down, just expressing a highly personal opinion.

Found it: Snata by Cosine. The DMA is used for the border colours.
Wonderful wonderful music!
I'm sure a lot of work went into this, but it was a bit too long-winded for me. Piggie it is.
spitzy!
Great demo, love the music! youtube link.
It was really nice to watch, the only thing that annoys me is that I did not see that it was running on expended C64 on the compo intro page.
(In all fairness it seems to me that this should have been advertised in an obvious way, if only because as far as people were concerned they were comparing two C64 demos running on identical platforms.)

+1 for the Voyager theme cover :)
(cool demo as well!)

Superb graphics...
And as for the 512kb, well, i bet we needed as much on Atari ST to precalculate all the fonts rotations! But yeah, it should have been said it's an expanded c64.

The parts are way to long, really liked the music in the middle. A piggie.
Very nice effects!
very cool sin-scrolltext :)
Got to love those graphics and scrollers, REU or not.
great stuff
Liked this. A bit disappointed tho' it needs expansion, but the sci-fi references alone and the execution deserves a thumb.
Not bad. ST:VOY scene reminded me of R-Type for some reason. Haha.
What break and the others said. Great stuff.
You shall not use more than 64k! Anyhow, too good to get thumbed down...
Piggie material
Best scrollers. Nice gfx.
Ah those scrollers!!
I really like the dithering in the multi color color pictures here, catchy tune, too.
uhm, reu, really? nice content though.
Top production! And that second track is really so damn nice.Cool work, guys!
Pretty wonderful.
Great!!
Oops, missed this one completely.
When pace picked up I began to like it. Ace scrollers! Music too.

I still cannot comprehend just how good the music from about 2:10 is. That's chippower!
