fullscreen renders nothing but the text, windowed flickers horribly. win7 x64, gtx580.

@msqrt: This is an issue with 1080p. It'll be fixed in the release version, but for now, please try the 720p mode instead.

Multiplatform!
Good design and camera work, but
at 1:30 the letters should shine white,
at 2:45 the palette should be changed (otherwise too much the same colors).

Awesome beginning, but the whole plant-growing-stuff did indeed take this intro down the wrong lane imo :(

Amazing work. I really liked the music and the colourscheme and design was gorgeous!

It's ironic, as demos get ever more simplistic, intros are getting more detailed, well designed and downright epic!
rulez added on the 2013-04-01 21:11:43 by Wade Wade
Obviously high production standards but this has too many of my pet peeves and other nuisances...

1. teal/orange
2. well produced but non-memorable music
3. bad balance of detail (lots of detail concentrated on small aread but backgrounds completely void)
4. radialblur-like "godrays"
5. also just plain smooth surfaces with dof+ao don't cut it for me anymore

Technically good intro but no my cup of tea. :)

I totally loved the cube and the roots!

Just ran the mac port - it's pretty good, but slow.

First (blocks in space, rippling broken cube) and last (gears) parts run OK, but a bit slow for what's shown (30-45fps at 640*360(?) res).

Middle part (where it seems to turn white): 10 seconds per frame :O No music plays during this part too.

I'm on a 2.4ghz quad i7, 8GB, radeon 6770 1GB, 10.8.3.

+1 for a bloody nice intro that also happens to work 1/ natively on Linux, 2/ well on my ancient (by PC standards) graphics card.

great, but doesn't work on my AMD 7850 (2GB) . Only shows "Loading", and after that only the white flashes from the intro, but nothing else (music is ok). Core i7 920, Win7 x64, 12GB, Catalyst 13.1.

Cool production, can't get the linux port to run at all, but the windows version runs fine in WINE anyway so it's not a big deal :)
rulez added on the 2013-04-07 04:18:35 by derpistaN derpistaN
Same here, it seems like it tries to access the first sound card in alsa directly, which fails here. I'm just getting white flashes in windows, too, but it works fine in wine for whatever reason.

I love your style! A very solid production, that just lacks a few things to make it memorable.

The beginning felt a bit long (first minute or so), some other parts were a bit long too; you need a bit more variation on the colors. You could have used a bit more sync (sync animations with music). The radial-blur is a bit cheap, but I like it. :)

For a better visual consistency, I'd have removed the gears at the end and used something with the vegetation. I felt that the gears were out of place. Good ending!

Another excellent production from Horology.

Works really great on my iMac until after the cube when the screen goes white and then it bombs. Until then, runs so well on max settings... Hope this helps?
