Best in the compo, no contest. Well designed and consistent visuals, matching soundtrack.
Fast effects, cool music, great design and neat graphics!
Absolutely amazing! SteamPunk theme roxxx hard here! Mood, colors, and music and perfectly match :) A true masterpiece!!!!!
very good graphics, music was nice but not my cup of tea..
like the 3d!
like the 3d!
Stunning Amiga release! So well executed in every way possible!
Super awesome
super super awesome
Awesome!
Loved it. The best Amiga demo in the Amiga demo compo.
sexy!
This demo shows perfectly how important it is to have great style. All objects, effects, graphics and music contribute to the theme and transform this from an effect-show to pure emotional art. Thanks for this.
WOW.
.good job chłopaki
Amazing attention to detail, such as the radial blur transitions and all of the camera movements. This is just extremely well done, almost immaculate.
These guys know what they are doing.
Woha... amazing work guys.. I spotted an Interference-reference in the beginning. NICE!! :D
Fantastic in every way.
This is a great demo, no doubt. I love the graphics work the most. Sadly some of the gfx was released in some other context year(s) ago. But nonetheless, great work!
what noby said \o/
C= !!!
Nice looking visuals, good work!
Well deserved 1st place. Great job!
wow! this surely does work for me, excellent music and mood
not enough mem, duhh
Codi excellent 3D!!!!
Everything is perfect in this production, thanks for the show!
RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!
Very well done.
absolutely Rulez!
woo...
wow
great athmospheric demo, brilliant music!
nice demo
Nice Steampunk demo.
amiga demo scene dope at its best
Considering the title it should've had even more crazy fakes and precalcs but this will do for now. :)
Kudos for doing textbook steampunk without feeling as ridiculous as a 19 year old in a top hat.

really loved the graphics in this one! those stills all look mindblowing! the windblowing effect and radial blur transitions looks terrific. Look forward to seeing it on the real thing.
Stunning demo .. well deserved 1st place !
Awesome !
Wow.. Just Wow!
Have seen in a long time not such a great Demo with such high production Values.. Graphics Ace, Sound Ace, Design Ace... Very well done, instant favourite :)
Amiga kicks PC's Ass every time :D

Amiga kicks PC's Ass every time :D
Demo with special theme, amazing artwork involved, and Tesla of course! You can bet on Ghostown. Amazing!!!
proves that it's not just about dropping tons of effects, it's about making it all look good, and fit together :)
Awesome! Amiga Rulez!
yeah!
a worthy winner
Really nice.
artistic and well...even moving, great job! thats what the scene is all about ihmo
I like this eventhough i generally find steampunk boring, well done indeed!
There is so much style in there! <3
Simple things but put so well together, it's just enjoyable to watch.

This is exactly what a demo is about. Great coding, graphics, music and design. Amiga still rules PC in that sence. I think this is best Amiga demo since Starstruck. Just ran it on my Amiga 1200 and it ran really smooth. Thanks!
Ace,nothing more nothing less :-)
Great!
everything is so polished. really liked it
Clear Winner
Alles klar, Herr Kommissar !!!
Top notch!!
fantastic demo
Creativity and heart.
i dig it!
Wow!!!
I dug this!
Very very nice!
Exactly what BarZoule said. Well done, guys!
Rocks!
Not the one I wanted to win, but still an amazing prod. :D
What raven said.
This is awesome.
nice, but got bored halfway trough, too much scene and effect recycling (all scenes shown like atleast 4 times? meh). nice design, but no surprises, just all the scene cliches nicely wrapped.
very well done ... in every aspect
Blew me away. Solid thumb up and a big thank you for making this!
great. lots of nice detail.
Great demo! very nice...
Live from compo
Great work guys, it's got the amount of "real" graphics a proper amiga demo should have, and even the temporal reprojection artifacts are barely visible now ;)

cool and amigaaa
Great demo! I like the style.
God damn that looked and sounded gorgeous.
Music by Jazzcat/ 2D art by Slayer owns a compo. I dont like repeating scenes and pictures, rest is great demo.
Very good production! I love Human Traffic and this is really a good successor!
Very nice, great music, great visual direction, nice 3D.
Nice MPEG player, dudes. :P
wow just great..
hubba-hubba!!
@Blueberry: how much FastRAM does this Steampunk Engine eat ? I'm getting "not enough free memory" returns trying to run it on reduced OS configs that give me: 1.9 MB Chip and 63.9 MB Fast
Just great! Loved the theme and style. My only criticism is with the greetings part as the names are quite hard to read. I guess that's due to the picture forcing a weird angle though.
A worthy winner indeed! :)

Worthy winner it is.
I really enjoyed it on the big screen!
Jazzcat and Slayer: your work is really fantastic! The Amiga scene is very lucky to have talented people like you!

I understood what you did, this is pure art !
I think this has to be one of the top Amiga demos every! Grats!
Usual quality by Ghostown & Lonnies.
.
My favourite from revision!
This looks really great!
I deliberately didn't watch Blueberry's screen, when he was working on this one at the Revision pre-hype miniparty a few weeks ago.
Highlights:
- those swinging lightbulbs - timed with the 2d. One of the things I will never forget from Revision 2013
- The lightball towards the end of the demo
- Nice 2d graphics
- soothing soundtrack
Some scenes/graphics might have been reused a bit much, and the scroller was hard to read, but damn everything looks coherent.
You yeah, and the filesize and requirements are uhm.. maxed out :)

A bit repetitive but solid work overall.
cool and nice stuff a bit repetitive but well awesome :)
I really really really liked this on the stream but I'll be a good Amiga dude and watch it on real HW before I vote.
So fucking great. I did notice some semi-painful slowdowns in the YT caps but apart from the fact I can't confirm them they didn't hurt that much. And I agree with Puryx, those lightbulbs were SO cool. Kinda easy if you look at what's happening but the idea works so well.
Great, thank you guys.
Great, thank you guys.
At least they are honest about the slowdowns and don't fake it like, you know, other groups. ;)
Brilliant stuff, such a tight team on code, graphics, design & direction. Slick!
Nice - I especially like the canyon city.
I already lost it at the scene with the lightbulbs, but everything after... fuck. so many polygons.
Everything is just awesome!
Best demo i've seen in a long time.
Best demo i've seen in a long time.
Dunno if i'm exactly a huge fan of steampunk but details and production is awesome in this demo.
I really liked this one, even if it's a tiny bit repetitive. Ghostown with Loonies is a awesome combination!
This is now officially my favorite amiga demo. Neat 3D garphics and amazing 2D. Wonderfull track...what a blast
I'm not a big fan of demos trying to tell a story, but this one is very well produced. The graphics are exceptionally good - the music is not.
What a demo. Stunning stuff.
Decent. :)
Well done!
Amiiiiiiiiga!! Really great and well pulled off :)
despite it's not my style.. it's an excellent demo.
Excellent :)
Where is TBL?
Where is TBL?
Solid presentation, although the start credits doesn't show long enough and it's a real shame about the greetings being practically unreadable
Excellent graphics!
Song Link also available? That song is so Amazing :)
I kind of dislike showing effects again (the bit with them coming back to life), but this is just awesome in every other way.
Use your Amigas to do Amiga demos. It looks like a boring PC demo. Nothing exciting for me.
quality
great gfx and a really effective soundtrack.
the only thing i don't like is that you show the same objects again and again and again (without changing much).

Excellent gfx, marvelous msx and so tightly put together and spiffed up by effects/coding. This is, in it's essence, a true masterpiece!
Excellent stuff - expected nothing less from GT & L.
Apart from that, after re-watching it a few times (on a real Amiga) I noticed some strange effects on textures and also at edges of objects in some scenes which remind me of (bad) video compression.

steampunk demo has combustion engine
excellent
tbl, please respond!
yes, this rocks!
Very cool!
Great demo with extremely polished graphics&direction, but imo Human Traffic was much better demo.
My main complaint about S&M is recycling, it's clever, but still it's recycling in my book.
Then after watching the prod couple of times I've noticed the artifacts on 3D scenes, if they are from video compression, then as a coder I really dislike that.
P.S. 'Leafs in the wind' effect is so awesome :)

totally stunning demo with fantastic gfx!
Great stuff obviously, but a bit too stretched out for my taste
superb! (except for the scrolly angle of the greetings scene -- hardly readable)
Cool demo!
Magic story!
Ah screw it, I can't be arsed to plug in my 060. Rulez!
Very clever use of effects used to meld with the 2D gfx so that they work together as one. Good atmosphere and quality in every way.
<3
wonderful. your scroller ain't readable, though.
Superb!
A bit too long, but the steampunk theme is a nice choice :)
Nice mix of 2D/3D, coherent theme, good music. Scroller is utterly unreadable.
nice
Cool! :)
The best AGA demo in 2013.
Am I *seriously* the only guy who has noticed this demo is RIDDLED with pre-rendered scenes?
Quote:
Am I *seriously* the only guy...
No, but you're probably one of the few who thinks that being 100% realtime is the only aspect whether or not a demo rules.

*gasp* No!
Plus what Punqtured said, basically.

The thing is -- there is way too much pre-render. I would not complain if there was a little bit. Hell I can probably get away with making a demo that's 80% pre-rendered.

You either talk the talk or walk the walk.
I don't care how they did it. I like it, and saw it live at Revision 2013. The only shame here is how long it took me to get around to thumbing it up! This prod rocks.
Simple but catchy demo-theme, not too many scenes nor objects, but the final results is a real pleasure to watch and to listen to.
Impressive demonstration. Great music! Nice gfx!
Thank you dudes!

Anything that has Nikola Tesla in it - is fine by me!
Very good stuff !!!
Yay, animations presented as effects, what else is new.
Just because the design and the tune rock, I don't care how it's made...it's Amiiiiigaaaaah :)
prerendered gives this the meh
Was very pleasant to watch!!
I love that steampunk style! Nice guitars, too!
Yes, prerendered somewhere, but this is a trade-off to be that faast.
Some very nice artwork pictures inside.
And makes overall very positive and pleasant impression.

What a wonderful demo! The design is top-notch - steampunk always looks too damn cool on screen - and the music track is a perfect example of how to use guitars without making them SCREAM!! :)
Superb design and theme execution!
Great style
Superb!
This is beautiful. The music is perfect as well.
Nice style!
Alles klar Herr Komissar! nice production!!
Enjoyable.
Just wow!
