Blah, I was just uploading a screenshot. Anyway, it was quite nice in the compo -though I didn't expect it to rank that high - but for some reason it runs like 10spf (yes) on this 1.5GHz computer no matter how I tweak VDub's options. Wonder what gives.

DiamonDie: If it is an .avi (divx) and you are using media player, view it with BSPlayer (freely downloadble from the web). media player sucks ass btw.
DiamonDie: Oh, and that P4 1.5 Willamette thing is not helping either. I got one like that here and it crawls like a dead snail. Must be its 600-stage pipeline no doubt.

oh fuck. it's divx503 of course. installed the fucker and it worked just fine. and pretty disturbing audiovisual experience that is.

please boycott this crappy commercial divx5, use source-free-software instead like Xvid.
no don't use xvid, because it just creates problems. (can't have both divx and xvid codecs installed at the same time, for example).
don't really feel like recompiling mplayer 23731273712 times to watch xvid:s.
