Requires Raspbian hardfp. You can download it and run it on your rpi by running this at the terminal:

Code:wget ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/users/parapete/bdse-porkys_pi.tar.gz && tar -xzf bdse-porkys_pi.tar.gz && cd bdse-porkys_pi && ./run_me.sh
fun!

The sound crackles once per second, 50 Hz PAL screenmode in composite.

The text console is visible above and below the gfx, too

Marq, I've only been able to test on HDMI. Is there anything else special about your config? I will try to find a fix for the console problem. I will release the source code shortly too.
Same problem as Marq on composite (crackly music, then I did an apt-get / firmware upgrade, and now it's all crackle and no music.) Works nicely on HDMI though.

Lovely vibe here... reminiscent of Keops and Rez and their "oldskool dragged kicking and screaming onto a modern platform" thing. Half a thumb down because I wanted to watch the Meg On The Moon demo. :-(

Scratch that... did the amixer cset incantation, and now I'm back to crackly music again.

My system is a plain Raspbian w/ 192/64 memory split, composite PAL out, and ssh running.

Okay I update the tarball to fix the text console in the borders problem, which should help if you have an HDMI display that is not the same aspect ratio as 1920x1080. The audio problems on composite output remain though...
Okay I think I've fixed it now. Details are in the readme.txt in the tarball. Sorry if you ran the old broken version.
What did you do to fix the crackling? Do the whole music in one big buffer?

Changed the audio device buffer size to 100ms. It's just a setting in BASS.
stop giving away our next demo ideas!
