Our firstie, released at tUM 2011. Far from perfect, of course, but time and the real world caught up with us. We're working on it. ;)

Ok, it's a bit short, but it's a nice first prod with a great atmosphere!

sth around what gargaj and what wysiwtf said.
also majorDen is right about the atmosphere...but thats just a build-up for some very exploitable atmosphere, which would have needed the demo to take some longer.

so take my words as a motivation to make that pig, i have to give for your cubes this time, showing a thumb up next time ;)

btw: time is what you guys should take yourselves to make something really good next time ;) (demos aint easy to do...and expensive if you think in manhours to put in ;) )
Really liked it on the bigscreen!

Okay, so this is a call for help in some ways: dt is very busy, and I only have a crappy netbook at my disposal right now. So: if anyone who, unlike me, is actually capable of running this demo could take a decent video capture of it and put that on Youtube, we would be very grateful.

hardy: we're taking until the summer for our next release, hopefully to bring some improvements :)

The thumb is for the atmosphere which I really like, at least in the first quater of the demo. It looks rather unfinished from then onwards. Plus, the demo seems not to run correctly on my PC, those blue mini-cubes (?) around the sphere are black here (Geforce GTX 470).

Hi there.

First of all, thanks for all the thumb ups! It is very motivating that at least some people watch our demo, still.

Gargaj:
I a little late, sorry for that... Qt is only used for the window and the gl contex, since I use qt for some tools. I couldnt make a WIN32 app in time. This was a little compromise I had to do, but next time, there wont be any qt.

Well, unfortunately the package lacks a decent .nfo file... So first of all, the main possible reason for a crash might be an outdated gfx card without required gl exts. For this demo Ogl 3.2 is required due to geometry instancing(instanced render calls) and texture buffer objects(samplerBuffer in shader).
There is also another issue with the small cubes which are drawn black on some nVidia cards. This was the case at the big screen and also with the quadro card at work. Although I developed the demo a ATI HD 57xx and tested on geforce gt 330m where everything worked just fine, I still missed some subtle detail in shader programming... I think there is some glitch with the ssao shader.

Anyway. Thanks for giving me that much motivation for the next demo. I think the same goes for t-zero.
