Very nice looking, a lot of graphics for a 96k demo :)
What Dbug said
Perfect from the beginning to the end ! RNO are twister masters ! Design, fx, gfx, msx, everything rules in this - always too short - prod !
very very nice!
Great intro! Really nothing to complain about at all, it's all top notch :D
Bra jobbat Brite! :)
I never hoped to say that but that's real : an amiga coder is ruling the ST scene !!!
Congrats, I'm amazed, that's beautiful, that's fast, that's huge, that's 96K....

awesome demo!
.
Rather uninteresting effects (same old) but nice music, graphics and design. Why didn't you let the effects run during the transitions though? Would have been much nicer.
DUDES!!!
StingRay: I would guess because the effect/transition would slow down a lot (no hardware for stuff like that on the ST unlike Amiga).
This was awesome! :)
Very very nice production!
My favorite demo of the whole party! The dithering effect looks really nice (does it allow to draw only 1/4 of the object?)!
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
Great stuff! Music, gfx, effects! The whole bang!
Cute.
good
Atari ST + design + gfx + music by 505 + 96k = WIN.
Perfect design!
cutie
yes
Cool one!
Special thumb for the excellent twister, the rest was nice too.
nice flavour
nice
best prod at Outline!
ace production
nice
a highlight at Outline!
great
Fantastic!
RNO just redefined 96k on the ST.

nice
One of the smoothest 3d of this kind I have seen on the st. Also, more 2d and tunnel effects at great smoothness. Ends up a little abruptly.
Rulez. Shows the potential of the ST in full range.
findata :)
Fucking great
One of the best intros i have ever seen on ST. Maximum respect!!!
Waiting for your next release...

Twister <3
Also, rest was good looking too!

Great! And squeezed into 96kb is even more impressive.
I don't know much about ST-coding (got to buy a machine someday and try to learn) but I'm very interested in the chunky-modes used here.
Is it done with chunky-2-planar, or is there some copper-like thing that can be used?
Come to thnk of it, I don't even know if the standard ST graphics mode are planar to begin with! :)

Woah, you have made my day. Simply THX! :)
sdw: it's chunky to planar in two bitplanes with a smart rendering pattern to get some dithering making it look more than two planes. The ST is basicly a 68000 with a 320x200 framebuffer (word interleaved bitplanes). No sprites. No hardware scroller. No splitscreen. No blitter. And a YM2149 beeper.
good one
The girl pic in the screen shot is ... WOW! I'm totally facinated how this can be done pixel by pixel. Real art. The effects were also nice ;-) The end is, well, it's missing unfortunately :-(
Awesome for a demo...but wait, thats just 96K!
Too bad the end is kinda sudden. :)

neat
definitely kicks ass ! nice twister and envmap !
Nice. As already said, no ending but the rest is cool and the twister is really nice. :)
OSUM!
YES
What rasmus said.

Made me smile @ outline 2011
What maytz said.
Totally sweet, especially for Atari! Off to loosen some screws from Brite's bike ->
Dayum! Definitely one of my favourite productions from the entire party :).
Could fit in 64k with better packer imho.
Very nice demo !
The babes are cute..
The end is a bit unexpected/abrupt.

convenient design, girls, cool effects and 505 music. Yeah!
twisterthumb
Nice effects !
A pity we get an sudden end.
Also there is a little bug with the greetings twister: some data that should be erased is not when moving up ...

Marvelous renderings, so smooth and precise looking!
mutvotätipeukku
Simply brilliant!!!
yes.
Hi britelite !
The problem is not the emulator.
In fact your code does not set the image refresh rate (50/60Hz).
So if you start your machine in NTSC/60 Hz as Steem does, you will get this small bug.
You can check that on a real ST as well.
This also means that you have plenty of CPU time left and that all screen can run at 60 Hz except that twister. Probably in some cases, when you are updating the frame buffer, your screen base address switch that is probably located at the VBL has already occured and so you are clearing at the wrong address ...
There is also a minor graphic bug on the first girl screen pic: 2 small blue lines at the top.
But don't worry these are details.
Again, congratulations.

yeah! its a really quality production :)
ljbk: steem will only start in NTSC if you are using a USA (or other NTSC) TOS ROM
Probably one of the best ST intros.
High quality production with brilliant effects.

A very pleasant surprise! Nice flow throughout the intro and very good effects and graphics!

kickass
Cool tune! Is there a MP3 of its original source or do we have to rip it? :(
tunnels, cubes, twist and a load of pixeled babes in 96k!
THUMB UP!
THUMB UP!
The worse part is that the demo is too short!
Simply incredible !!!
Everything in this demo is amazing...
96k means no loud precalcs...
I cannot imagine how good is the coder.
Same for gfx & chip compo !
I couldn't believe this was possible on a simple ST... but RNO did it !
Waouhhh !!!

absolutly great pixels! great code as well! But I loooove pixels
Love it! :D
who needs ps if you have an atari st? :D awesome!
very good
Really cool stuff.
WOW! GREAT EFFECTS! :)
@hylst: 96k means you have to make the big precalcs at runtime (so they must be fairly optimised)! But precalcs you can make...
Always thumbed it up, but the dithering is really so SEXY! Well done!
Always thumbed it up, but the dithering is really so SEXY! Well done!
This level of wowness was done on a PLAIN ST, not an STe or Falcon! RNO hav a place in my heart. I hope they do more on the Atari :-)
Really nice! Super smooth twister.
nice demo
nice stuff :)
well done
Small size & twister.
The roto-streching zoomers are cool, but the twister kicks ass.
great demo!
impressive
Wow, great 96 kb! The effects are impressive (3d objects and twister!), graphics and music are top quality. Feels really dynamic too.
