Hmm,.. weird torus. It's good but I think more can be done in 1kb. I think at least..
i did long time ago a torus, and other objects in less than 512bytes... to fit in the diskboot....

surely this can be done in higher res in 1k? as far as i can tell it even uses a dithering overlay to fake it's way up to 320x200..

This one is nice. You could say a torus has been seen too many times, but this looks quite good, and it's only 1kb (in fact a few bytes less than that)
