Another of my favourite AGA demos. Lots of taxing and elaborate routines, stunning artwork and excellent soundtrack on top of some very slick transitions.

Claws did a fair few good soundtracks back then. This was well above average, some great effects + pics, a few boring bits, overall rulez.

They won the competition at that party without any surprises/problems, if i remember well.

These texture+gouraud vector routines were probably done two or three times before that on plain 020/AGA machines, but Real used them with great style. Probably the first one that detected our processor type/speed and enhanced routine details on the fly.

Sceners of today really need to look at the way this is put together. This is not just your average routines thrown together to a random soundtrack you get today, this is well thought out so every routine and every picture has its place and the viewer gets a sense of quality.
This is probably one of the most sophisticated demos I've ever seen and the music is an excellent, tuneful composition with a lot of range, the likes of which is also missing in todays scene.

Everything was said above. Its a classic AGA demo, and actually the first one I saw on an A1200.

Salut Gengis/Heinz : comment ça va ? J'étais assis avec mon frère et sa copine aux longues jambes (et Triton), je faisais une demo Amiga 500 avec un remake de Spike/Vectrex dedans. T'es venu me dire que c'était impressionant. Malheureusement on s'est cassé quand les démos Falcon zoophiles sont apparues sur l'écran géant... En tout cas dommage que t'ais pas terminé l'EPITA et que ton adaptation du moteur de carmack se soit faite grillée la priorité par Gloom. Recontacte-moi un des quatre sur ircnet si tu as le temps l'ami :]

I didn't like it much 15 years ago, I don't like it now. It has some nice parts, but it also has a horribly ugly part (the canyon)... Could have been much better with some design.

The Amiga answer to the PC demo Unreal by Future Crew (I guess).
I hope that the creators of this demo will someday return to the demoscene. The demo may not be technically very advanced, especially considering what people are doing on the Amiga these days, but consider that:
a) this is a demo optimized for the A1200 without any extensions
b) 1994, in my opinion, is a transitional period, just learning what can be done with the AGA
Nevertheless, the demo defends itself to this day in terms of design, as well as music
