Great demo! I especially loved the 3d town.

Just a great production altogether
One of the best ever.

Insanely good!
I'm not 100% sure but the musician Jellybean might have been an spb-member under the handle Barf during the early nineties..

Wow! I'd never heard of this before I saw it pop up in the "latest comments" box. I really wish I'd seen this back in the day... these guys really knew how to push an A500!

Oh.. and unlike "we shave ass", I think that spinning earth is realtime ;-)

Really, really great.

Wow, I really adore several of the code/effects in this one. The strange metamorphing blur at the beginning is sooo cool. But what strikes me is the shadow city and the landscape zoomer. Also the demo has such a nice feeling to me for some reasons..

I always thought this was an AGA demo from about 1995. Wish I could give this another thumb!

Seriously underrated!

Thanks for all the positive comments... the divx link to assembly 2001 reruns does not work, but at the time of writing there is an mp4 at video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7890107817930832776 and a (better quality) divx at cyberpingui's site http://cyberpingui.free.fr/oldiesdmos.htm.

The most underrated demo ever and probably one of the best demos ever made considering what year it was released.

An old favorite. The vector morphing always puzzled me. Seems like they would need more bitplanes than usual for that.

Thumb for:
1) firepower mod by Jellybean,
2) atmosphere,
3) blurred orange whirl (called "milky way" in the credits) at about 4:45.

strange that i've never seen this one before ...
shadebobs are the same as in silents' hardwired, though ?
rulez added on the 2014-04-22 15:48:29 by juice juice
Works with Winuae 2.8.1
U must use Kick 1.3 512kb Chip - 512kb Fast (Default config in Winuae)
Also u must select all Prefs to Cycle Exact (Blitter etc. ) for your A500.
Then the Demo runs fine.

That is somewhat the "ueberrulung".. Didn't know such demos existed in 92. :)

Feels good and works for me despite being still a tad too oldskool for my tastes, at least the pacing is on point. Lovely shaded vectors.

Very good stuff from the golden age of demos. That music brings back memories. And the morphing stuff and shadowed vector city surely rule.
rulez added on the 2019-11-23 13:20:59 by axis^oxy axis^oxy
Wanting to be an 'Enigma-beater' here and there, it kinda does too, but has some shadebob and vector effects of its own. I like it because of the more demoish packaging - reminds of Stellar intros and Hardwired. It has a layered cube scene, is it a first?

Starts out quite lame tho, you have to trust it. ;) Solid production.

Lots of good stuff here but like a lot of demos from this era, it gets a bit boring at times with effects staying on screen for too long. Still highly upthumbable.

Oh yes, I can remember that sweet music and the 3D town with the
shadows. The other parts have escaped my memory over time - shame
on me! After rewatching the demo I must say that I also pretty much
like the intro sequence with the morphing text and the endpart with
the fractal landscape. Looks great. Excellent demo.
