Now this is just excellent. I'd say this is one of the greatest "hacker"-mentality demos I've seen in the past few years. Lot of parts causing laughs at the party as well :D

great job!
I dig the concept and the execution. I kept thinking about a lot of different "hello world" in langauge X, Y. But you proved me wrong :)
Forgot to thump up.
Linux 32 or windows binary or video plz ...
If the demo indeed does what it implies it does it's pure awesome.
gorgeous coder porn in its purest form
uncle-x: yep, it does. just perused the sources for a bit.
video plz.
Here is the video ...

great idea. great implementation. great presentation.. the "garbage collectors" bit made me do a lol ;D
Hah. Great idea :)
Had a great time watching this. My inner geek-child is filled with joy :)

Note that this ran on a dedicated machine during the compo.
From what I have heard, it's a REAL bitch to get running properly. Instructions literally are: "Install as many libs as possible until it doesn't complain anymore", plus it's linux. :)
-- So, I think you are better off watching the video instead ;)

"interference pattern in bourne shell"
that's DIEHARD!
that's DIEHARD!
"This product found bugs in" :D Enjoyed the demo, cool idea.
Liked this prod. Visuals, music and context.
i don't get it. it shows that:
- all these languages somehow support arrays, loops, elementary arithmetic and c integration.
- eh
oh wait, that's all it shows.
how is that geek porn? a for loop in FORTRAN is still a for loop. a trivial effect is still a trivial effect. an RPC call or an embedded scripting language call is still a matter of copying the example from the tutorial. what am i missing? i haven't seen a single novelty here.

of course skrebbel has a point, but it is still a cool thing/idea to combine so many languages in one prod. this isnt about showing off new effects or something.
true geek-spirit that well deserves a thumb.

SCHEME!
Pure integration nightmare =)
i trust in xeron for the amiga port, btw!
A novel concept indeed!
video please!
fuck, it's insane. never saw something like that.
the fact that there's a video capture in that blog link might be beneficial to know. Also you're insane or very masochistic :)
really nice done. <3
this is fucking amazing
Having to code in Fortran for work right now I can only thumb up in sympathy.
unique!
skrebbel has a point, but props for the fun factor :)
Crazy thing
thumb up for the work but i agree with skrebbel
I guess coders can enjoy this...
music was very nice though.
music was very nice though.
You're mad :)
Crazy idea. Looks like a demo from the early nineties, though :-)
great idea :)
hahaha, superconcept
where is qbasic? :)
this is madness!
Makes me kinda sad that I'm not a coder.
Makes me kinda glad that I'm not a coder.

Awesome job @_@
Exactly what glxblt said.
what glxblt and noby said
what visy said!!!
The demo equivalent of playing the same tune on dozens of different musical instruments, in a good way.
All that programming languages and it still doesn't look good. Just choose one and do something better now.
I have to admit, it's not really beautiful, but i really like the idea and find it amazing - which is the essence of a demo, after all.
Thumb up for COBOL ;)
What Xernobyl said. Tech showoffs are so 80's
+ for the effort
+ some of the artwork is pretty nice
+ linux
- 64 bits oh well..

cool "how to" idea and execution
where's the brainfuck part?
crap design
kick ass :D
great
goooo diversity
neat idea saves from sucks.
Lulz. Thumb up for the idea.
what pommak said
cool idea/execution and a nice soundtrack.
Coder porn!
I wish there were F# though. :)
I wish there were F# though. :)
Nice!
Wow, I really love this. What is the last language? Pascal? Haskell ?
Enjoyed it.
Great! That's a cool concept focused demo!
funny concept, nice music, cool performance to integrate all those languages into a single demo
Nice concept :) !
nice idea and great tune.
The design was imo good enough so sustain the concept :)
Is the source code going to be released at some point so one can evaluate the madness in getting all the langage runtimes to work together?

Interesting. :)
...LOGO? :)
this sucks, there is no haskell in there!!!1
(just kidding, nice concept. It's more performance art than demo, but still. Also, the raytracer implementation is funny)

...BASIC? :)
Nice concept !
You wanted the source code, you got the source code!
Porn!
What no perl?
COBOL! \o/ So I should start coding demos at work? :)
Fun to make? I think so!
Brilliant concept! Must have been very fun to make indeed.
Nice concept, liked the whole demo style, but still required some design... Also raytracing in cobol was awesome!
The idea sounds fun at first... from a coder point of view.
But seriously, this is just ugly from A to Z... the soundtrack doesn't even save it (everybody should be able to do that after some months with free synths and samples)
(and it lacks a tv noise)
ps: I'm saving the thumb down in case I missed a joke somewhere :)

Oh damn no, I didn't save the thumb, awwww :)
kaneel, programming languages are bicycles for the mind... it's like watching a lot of bicycles. Pure coder porn.
dude, there are many amazing bike frames that clearly show both artistic and crafting works... here, it may be technically great, it's clearly ugly.
receive another glowing thumb
Unlike what knl says, there's artistic value in the approach/concept, and ll the rest is crafting work.
Worth a thumb.
Worth a thumb.
nice brain-gym idea! did you know all the languages up front?
looks and feels like linux !
but the presentation makes me thumb up !
but eventho its coded in 27 languagaes i dont think the code is worth anything at all !
( there are effects that work at other platforms, while language doesnt matter ;) ...or well, should be in assembly! )

uuh, sorry, wrong thumb...was meant to show up :(
i think this demo just underlines chuck yaeger: it's the man, not the machine. :/
Most of the languages were learnt along the way.
For the concept, and it's quite well designed too! :)
For being educational by adding the source. This is "Hello world" in the demo scene way.
is this a joke?. i wonder how this came in nominees for most original concept. when you're going to make a demo with oldschool effects do it right next time! it doesnt have the decency to be original with those ugly color-schemes and what not!
good work, demo itself looks better than the screenshot. @rudi, I missed when we started to have "standards" for art.
great stuff!
Meh. Somehow this still feels gimmicky to me.
great concept and I like the result :D
Nice and original.
For the amusement, the novelty, the cheekiness and the source.
Rulez!!! Clearly not "0 demoscene experience" - they've definitely watched some demos :)
nice
:D
Epic.
This can actually be quite interesting even if you are not into demos (yes, there are such people) because the source code demonstrates a large variety of different programming languages, including a couple of exotic ones and such that are hardly ever used for graphic programming.
Twenty-three languages in a single program are impressing. BTW. I've just finished reading
Seven Languages in Seven Weeks.
Seven Languages in Seven Weeks.
crazy!
I don't have Linux. Only watched in youtube! and seriously, Segfault Garden. y u no greeting!?
great idea, concept and execution!
this is real geek spirit ;)
this is real geek spirit ;)
every demo needs a cobol wobbly flag!
jep, definitely coder porn !
definitely a cool idea
I laughed pretty hard. This is definitely deserving of the title of alltime top linux only prod!
legendary effort
The performance is in the programming challenge and no one cares if it looks cool or not
YOutube says the video "has been deleted" ...Then I remembered I was a Linux user (mx Linux) and for once I could just download and launch ^^

It seems to be an ancient dependency hell though. I hope a brave warrior steps up and capture this.
from what i can remember from seeing the now deleted vidcap, it was a cool idea. wish i could see it again :(
