Frustratingly slow and glitchy (intended or not) and while certainly interesting, it's nowhere near "best ever" territory (you might want to re-watch some of the awesome 4ks released in recent years).
Also, most parties have some sort of "all releases will be published, finished or not" policy to avoid waiting for final versions that may take months or may never come.

it's one of those rare intros that manages to transcends its boundaries and just takes effect. the atmosphere reminded me a bit of the old tron/wendy carlos approach although edgier and darker. Definitely impressive.

Even if I expected something else (an elevated 2 :) when I read it's supposed to be mind-blowing, this is still good. It's not your usual raymarcher demo, it has an out of this world atmosphere that reminds me Chimera (but with better visuals than chimera).

Dang, that was LONG! Did it ever end with the blue screen at the end? It started out slow, but got better.
Oh and I heard and saw no stutterings, and did have a hour glass. Amazingly it worked with my ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB) with v9.7 driver in old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3. Hehe!

the mzk and the sense of scale are the thumb++. Perhaps too long, perhaps too slow, but it's an amazing intro. I'm scared of what Quite can do next.

I know I'm being grumpy, but this production seems to me like a perfect example of what pity it is that the 4k limit exists. Imagine this intro without the artifacts and running faster. Spending a few more k's on code could have very well made this happen. It would still be a great prod had it been 8k, and I think the impact on the visuals could have been considerable. Now, it suffers from the size limit.
Of course, not thumbing it up would be wrong since it is what it is: an excellent ride given that it is 4k.

hardy: not at all redundant -- The last statement simply recognizes your great effort, and the first expresses some wishful thinking (on a more general note) on what could be improved if optimizing for .exe size wasn't so critical.

Actually hardy, I think that more kbs would make it faster but hey, they are still working on the final, they could make huge efforts to optimize it but we know it also mean "cutting here and there"... somehow I hope it won't kill the soundtrack, thats clearly the best sound I've heard from a 4k.
Perhaps a "see, it's possible" 4k version plus a performance optimised version for our viewing pleasure? There's already tons of 4ks with a 'compatible' version that's bigger but actually runs :)

Completely second hyde on this one. I don't give a damn about how large the executable is: this could have been easily one of my favorite animations ever. Just like asdf, it just reaches out and somehow touches me. And then seeing the glitches and aa-artifacts really makes me sad.

The scenery appears more cleared and focused now. But if i'm not mistaken, the soundtrack has changed a bit - sadly to the downside. And the new direction partly killed the cool atmosphere of the party version. Like some people have said it before: the magic is gone a bit.

I expected a final version adding an improved ending (final climax of some sort) and maybe some small details here and there, but you changed everything. Sadly, the out of this world feeling I had watching the party version over and over again got lost somewhere in the process.

Wow! Now I'm confused. I love the new degree of detail and cleanness. Also I like the hint of a bassline in the soundtrack. Everything looks so breathtakingly cool, that any type of criticism should be forbidden. But nevertheless, Trace is right: Somehow the overall impression is less powerful.
Maybe, it's the old principle that the more you show, the faster you have to go, the more energy you lose. Just from the pace of camera movement, the original structure looked much more enormous.

final is a fucking mindblow! love it much more than prev version, especially those moments with burned out colours. very inspirational, i think this is a real milestone. thanks for this experience, would like to watch it on a really huge screen, something like bp had )

This is actually VERY cool. I love the flow in the first 2/3rds of the intro. In the finale with the metaballs the motion kind of "stopped" though, breaking the magic. But anyway a kickass production. Looking forward to showing this on the TG rig :)

I have try it on my pc ,windows 7 Home, I7-2670QM 2.20GHz and 8GB. I only get audio and a black screen. When press ESC key, get error message from windows saying that application crash. ¿Any solution?

If I absolutely had to choose one, this would be my favourite demoscene production of all time - no, I'm not exaggerating. Just rewatched it today using the cdak_final_any executable on a 2k display and it looked even more beautiful than back in the day. The soundtrack chord progression is mesmerizingly ethereal and the sense of scale in the visuals takes me inside the image better than most VR applications in 2019. Holy fuck this is good..!

Probably not. There are many parts I prefer in the party version, especially the early parts containing the dramatic zoom into the splitting "cube". Hard to say which one is better overall tbh.
