This demo has a nice design and I Love the Tree at the end ;)
added on the 2000-08-24 20:44:06 by lord k
a really cool intro ! i love the tunnel effects and of course that great "TV-tree" =)
the tree is one of the koolest fx i've ever seen =)
Nice one with some nice effects. 3state class!
Funny, I find it to be a very unimpressive intro. Matter of taste, I guess
the best intro from the year 2000. DOPE design!
Great intro!
Fave fx are the one with the strange tunnel, the part with many 3d people, and the final with the tree!

very well designed, the music sucks a lot, good effects, i like it
Some find it boring, but I like it. Good mix of "minimal" design with unique effects. The TV tree is one-of-a-kind. Distance's music helps it out too. BTW, be sure you have "fog table emulation" enabled in your D3D setup, or else the "mass media" part may not work.
the tree is nice. but for the rest it's just some random effects in a random order. to me. i don't understand why a continuous boring light-blue background is called 'design'. let alone 'kick-ass design'. to me this looks like lots of effects i've seen lots of times before just now with a plain blue background.
3state have made 4687x better stuff, imho.

Fantastic. I love this one !!!!

threestate RULEZ!
threestate RULEZ!
Great, like all 3state prods, but lately,i face a really crazy thing...the intro freezes, the music plays all the way,but if i hold 'enter' pressed, the gfx start going! What the heck is that????Before some days the intro was ok,but now????What is goin'on...This is happening to h3o too.
Really crazy thing!!!
Really crazy thing!!!
Pretty visuals, cool 8)
Yeah cool!
I enjoyed this one quite a lot, especially the realy cool tree part near the end.
Great intro with great design and a monotonous, repetitve but still kicking soundtrack (distance at his best). The only thing I dislike a little are the poser-statements in the intro and the nfo-file, that imho dont fit a production with such a cool style.
One of the best intros ever, combining glorious design with impressive effects.
Just beautiful.

Pretty amusing, nice colors... catchy music
"effect of the year"
"cheap imitations suck"
"hard facts - we are better"
high claims, where's the proof?
too plain a color scheme, dull music and lack of cool effects (the fractaltree was ok, tho)
...but it's not _that_ bad, it can be watched one or two times

rockz
one of my fovorites
one of mone aswell
wtf? no thumb? must give one fast!
hehe
again, it doesnt go on unless i move mouse, same thing as for h3o breather - i have to move mouse to get the show going (and seems like Raoul_Duke is having a similar prob stated in post above)..
i suspect 3state to use some strange synchro method ;D however this time i got hooked on it and moved my mouse like an idiot during whole intro. was worth it - nice one.
raver, raoul_duke: an old trick from the days we were playing doom.
Get a small piece of paper - or pencil eraser, or something - and use it to stuck your SHIFT key in pressed state. thus you can watch the demo without any unnecessary physical acitvities.
I love this demo anyways ;)

haha foolman - rite! back in the days we were cracking games on speccy with my mate and thats how he got his former hande mc hammer - he used to clear datablocks in disk doctor (there was no fill function) by placing hammer on 0 key. speed = ~0.5 sectors per minute!
Nice
Effect of the year XD
i love it (one of the best PC intros ever)
nice clean design.
good music.
great effects (that tree at the end kick ass)

Pretty good. Solid design and so forth. But reallly only the TV tree raised my eyebrows.
i prefered lost vegas
greeeat!
i see vegas!
Classic material.
rofl with shash XD
All right!
always liked this one. It has some good stuff for the time, and the design was nice in places.
Nice, nice, nice. A bit plain, but in a good way.. especially the tree part rules.
We were for sure this would beat our please the cookie thing, it looked great, fresh and original during the compo. And it still does!
i experience the mousebug too in 3state releases, it's odd :) im not too keen on this intro..
Nice one! except for the music
still rulez
style.
Code VS Design... fight!
3state ruled. :)
3state ruled. :)
Typical 3 State. A bit monotone but still rockz!
just ok demo.. seen better from them
great minimalistic nu-shool intro
they have hard numbers proving they were better.
Nice stuff.. it still looks cool, but back in the day it was really on the top.
Now, for some reason, it only runs if I keep a key pressed down... funny, but at least it runs. let's blame MS for the complicated win32 api ;)

One of the very first 64KB intros I have ever seen - love forever.
never liked it! never understood why others do! sorry, sag!
what "One of the very first 64KB intros I have ever seen - love forever." the guy who said that said
some of the scenes look very pretty..
Also one of the first PC intros I ever saw, has a special place in my heart.
I have the same problem where it won't run unless it's constantly receiving a mouse or keyboard event every frame :(

its kind of nice. the music bores the crap out of me though :)
what Pirx said)
this one was cool and stylish back in da dajs
what niels said.
we accidently the explosives
Does not run unless I press a key or move the mouse, and then it finally crashes. meh. I liked what I saw, though.
good, but i'm happy people left this style behind with the early 2000s :)
I lost my thumb. Will give you back your explosives if I get back my thumb.
By the way.
Any hints about the strange "bug": "move the mouse to see 3s intros moving" ?
well, for now I'll keep fiddling the touchpad :)
or maybe creating a small program simulating mouse movements :)

Watch and learn!
Sexy style in 2k
Timeless design is timeless, sure some scenes didn't age that well, but look at the filesize, then look back to your calendar - it's 12 years now. Nice.
Want to stand out? Do it like this. Some of the best design of it's era, perfectly complimented by the code. Music is... alright; the samples suck and the interpolation kills them further.
nice style as usual, however one of the worst distance tracks i've heard.
lovely
ugliest song ever, some good ideas.
some nice effects, but the music was not my cup of tea
prettyyy cool
Love it
Neat. I like the music.
i was too harsh on this 64k. i like it now!
Not a fan of the music, but effects and design still work well almost 25 years later.
