Never seen the original, this one looks nice and the music rocks. Kudos to macaw for porting it to windblows, if only he had the courage to add a compressed image loader ;-)

Size suxx, but the intro itself is (still) cool. It's also not a 100% copy of the DOS version.
Differences: Added voice sample 'Bewahren Sie Ruhe', all greetings are now displayed on one screen (not group after group) and also more groups than in the DOS version, the look of at least one effect changed quite much.

nice stylish intro, and nice to have a win32 size, though the size really turns me off.

Uhm. could you guys releax a bit? The reason for the size-increase is that i put the textures and fonts as BMP, since the old ones were hardcoded in Watcom C/C++ objects (though the textures were put as BMP already in the first final version).
Further the final-versions of this intro features a NON-DCT-PACKED version of the XM (i.e. higher sound quality and bigger filesize). The original DCT-DEPACKER had some bugs which caused the "bewahren sie ruhe" sample to not be played on all machines, so the voice sample is *NOT* new.
And Crest - i have not changed any lines of effect code, the major difference is that this version features C/C++ polyfillers rather than pragma-aux'ed asm-optimized ones... So i suggest that you watch the original once more :-D

Haven't seen the intro yet, but I think it's great that people take the time to port old DOS stuff to Win32.
indeed dubmood, this was the last decent razor production. the intro seems completely identical to the original, which was a 64kb executable. so can you guys stop whining AND SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THAT FILESIZE!?

ryg | robotriot | macaw: Well, I have compared it with the original 64k dos intro (was never looking for a final version, but saw it now on scene.org - also a 950k+ zip file). and this original version has no voice sample and the colours in one effect are looking different.
software rendering sucks
Crest: the voice sample *IS* also in the party-version, but as i wrote the depacker was leaking memory so in some cases the sample is too distorted to be heard.
c'est rocks. it's the win32 exeheaders doing the size increasment, or a tad of it anyway.
