ATI fix please :)

A white screen appears here. Vista SP2.
Yes music's playing too.
oh also, this thing really needs a hi-def video of it online, because it runs really really slow on my computer (possibly needs a newer gfx card for best speed?)
good visuals, very nice tune.
not bad at all for the size, clipping through those shapes was a bit strange
my favorite "little entry" so far in 2010 !
Runs fine on my laptop with Quadro FX, lovely little prod, nice tune aswell
Nice tune and atmosphere. Like the effects...runs smooth here on a mobile HD 5650
What confused said
the track is wow. and visuals++ ..
doesn't run here as well (ATI HD 3670), but the music, the muuuuusic!
Nice stuff, silky smooth
Doesn't work here, neither sound nor music (just hangs, I waited for 1-2 minutes)
Win7 Mobility Radeon 48xx
Win7 Mobility Radeon 48xx
I also get only a white screen here - Win XP, 8800 GTS 512.
congrats, what a cool funky bluesy jazzy chippy and some trippy gfx :D
works well here on HD5770, try out all res versions

Worked pretty well here. Very nice job :)
music is really nice but the raymarching stuff is getting a bit too obvious here ;)
Yep, was probably hard to make it in 4k... your midi data music which is > 2200 byte doesn't compress well (although it gives you glissando effect for example which is nice in your music) and your code is also probably 500 byte too long here... average 4k doesn't spend more than 500 to 600 byte for the synth/music data, that may explain why you were off by 2k...
anyway, if it's your 1st 4k, that's a nice start, keep working!

nice
@lx: it's actually a module (Impulse Tracker) player, not MIDI. :) at least i think that coda kept the IT structure quite intact and didn't convert it to something MIDI-ish or whatever.
@Saga Musix... ahah funny... when I looked at the binary sequences, they really close to some midi sequences (midi on, program change...etc.)
^^ "they were really close"
Doesn't even open a window. Win7x64, HD4870.
Ok, so I was a bit quick to blame my brand of GPU :). Anyway, awesome music indeed and more than acceptable visuals. Hoping to see an actual 4k from you some day ;)
The 800x600 version worked.. Maybe it didn't like different aspect ratios. I need a more standard screen, it seems :>
The prod is great. Visuals were smooth and elegant and the tune brought some heavily nostalgic feelings while being relatively fresh.

So so so impressive :). Lovely chords in the music
+1 for the colour palette
Why doesn't I get sound here? But the visuals work fine and are nice.
Not-so-great softsynth, but very good music.
CODA!!!
great, easy-going full-length production, especially for a first-time GLSL exercise! I wouldn't be surprised if it was a tiny IT module and player, and while a good softsynth would make more sense in this size, it's a testament of coda's love of the tracker. :)
Nice tune but it would fit better with some different visuals i think. Worthy winner anyway!
nice bundle of the oldschool effects
Looks really great for 7kb :)
great!
most pleasing of the lot, nice colours and funky sounds
extremly nice music combined with pleasant colors.
this would rock as a screensaver!

Very good prod.

I agree, but for a demo it's just too dull and repetitive. The bog-standard raymarching is getting old too. The music was a breath of fresh air :)this would rock as a screensaver
Colorgasmic.
neat
relaxing
Excellent little shader-show, loved the tune as well.
Bleh, I'm getting sick of these obvious ray-marchers.
Delicious music! The visuals are soothing, but you need to work more on the camera movements to avoid bumping through things all the time.
pretty smooth, nice tune :)
relaxing
lovely.
nothing new, looks decent, sound decent etc
Good work :)
For the work on the music and vibrant colors :).
Didn't like the music too much, it was repetetive and had some really strange notes that didn't belong there, even not within this genre :)
dont like the tune..but nice colors there
Quite beautiful, tune is cool. A bit repetitive, though. I'll keep my thumb for when this becomes 4k :)
Pretty, smooth & mellow.
Forgot the thumb :)
Even though it is "obvious raymarching" this somehow has its charm in the colors and the music. Nice
Very calming and soothing, kind of a Japanese jazzy feeling (though the tune had some earpiercing 'wrong' parts :D but overall nice).. like listening to Yoshinori Sunahara.
Love the melody and the whole flow and mood.
Mellow
imho everythings fits...reallyreally cool..
looks like porn
nice, colourful show!
pretty nice
Not bad :). Of course, not the best one I've seen but kudos for having chip style music in a world of softsynths. Nice mood overall :).
music is nice, but visuals are really boring: the "camera movements" are baaad and always the same; the change between effects also makes it repetitive
What Puryx said!

Isn't raymarching ALWAYS super obvious? (stop the distorted cylinders PLEASE)
To the topic, super cool intro, keep working! We want a 4k next time (sometimes size matters, man)
What I appreciate about this is that, although the same techniques are used as in many other 4ks (actually this is SMALLER than 4k) it feels fresh and original. The organic imagery helps, as does the music. As I said to him at the party, "I want to lick your demo." Smooth, lovely. ( : And he was patient enough to explain how he did it, too.

hey, I strongly believe that raymarching, even obvious in its technique, can still (and will) surprise us in their direction/scenes/objects... but for this particular intro, I was not really surprised by the visual...although, the music is giving a cosy and oldschool ambiance. Yourself and for example, last "Burj Babil" 4k procedural from psycho have proven that raymarching has indeed some huge potential to make us "wow" :)
yep
the music and the visuals dont fit imho :/
I so much like the music. Totally RTL pr0n! Gotta love it. Now make it 4k - you will feel the pain finding those 2.2KB :)
Finally got to hear the sound from... youtube :)
Love this tune!
It's interesting or funny, what used to be the WOW factor once upon, raymarchers in GPU, became so common that people are wishing to go back to traditional polygon intros (or maybe something different, zero polys, zero shaders, etc, etc :). When is the last time we have seen a 4k like parsec (vast amount of generated texture beauty, I am gonna watch it again and remember) or metropolis or...

Lovely! Especially the music! Download link please?
great treat!
Pretty cool but I'm not much into this 8k thing :)
beautiful =]
cute
Entertaining.
nice
what wullon said.
But both, tune and visuals for itself are very nice.
Thing is, the tune is rather a diskmag piece than an intro soundtrack.

polished. great colors + music.
what phoenix said in his first commentary.
have to say something myself tho ( mostly negative :/ )
- eventho i love trackers/chipmusic/your_music_in_general( this soundtrack didnt fit the intro and was a little bit a disapointment)
...you could have maybe done the same amount of scenes in 4k with some SoftSynth...i guess you just wanted to do it all yourself and i know why ;)
( but using someone elses Synth instead of stripping down someone elses replayer isnt that much of a difference, you didnt do it yourself this or the other way...ok, you wanted to use your own TRACKED music, its a point, but theres just no 7k-categorie ! ( eventho the scene should be the last place where everything has to be categorized.. )
also f.e. 4klang comes with a VST,so you could still TRACKER your music, just no samples but you have to do the sounds yourself via synthesis or just use/load-in the example-sounds !
- your laziness let me watch it in 800 only :( ( i atleast made several versions for them different aspect-ratios for every intro i did so far ( until i did some DIALOGUE for other versions than COMPO_VERSION ), even if it was a lame intro !
- the clipping just suxx, work on camera-pathes ! ( as theres no other way to avoid clipping without extra-code you dont want in 4ks ! )
- i dont get rid of the feeling you got inspired by some recent intros I did !
( i got flamed for having bad colors in my last 4ks -> i hate your colorscheme ! ( maybe auld is right: perception of colors is different to everyone ! ) )
so in conclusion:
( and this took me several days to even get myself to comment on this ;) )
i enjoyed it a lot on the bigscreen ! then saw its 7k and the rest is written above ;)
here goes your thumb:
( do some 4k next time, else its showing the other direction then ! )

I like it, specially the music!
I reckon this intro has that oldschool demoscene feeling to it, something that mot (if not all) modern productions lack.
I found the music and the visuals to be in perfect chillout harmony (well it could have been better, but it's quite good the way it is).
I think this is about the only intro that I've really enjoyed in the last couple of years or so. Although I haven't been following the scene too closely since I stopped getting that buzz from late releases.

some extremely beautiful stuff in here (and the sound wasn't so bad).
also, something which looks like the inside of a pussy.

coool man
Decent Amiga intro feeling, all-in-all.
Heyyy nice bumps dude
Very relaxing.
Pretty.
I like the visuals, i dig the music but both together don't fit at all. However, that's not enough for a piggy.
Very pretty, but it didn't run my on old, updated XP Pro. SP3 machine with an ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB of RAM). :(
is ok
I am feeling this
great
Nice colours and nice music!
Awesome.
Amazing magic
what kusma said
Great music, not sure about the bursting through the geometry thing, but nice lush colours.
Heap of colors, heap of fun, heap of atmosphere. Yep I like this trip!
nice visuals
Awesome music, some nice effects, RULEZ!
:) classic rm shapes.
fuck raymarching.
fuck it right in the ear.

Colors a bit oversatured for me, but overall nice!
very psycho but nice colors
Initially don't like intros with the uncertain size
Cute, I liked it.
Sunday mood tune, with lovely visuals <3
rushed at some corners but who would dare..
damn nice thing! =D
damn nice thing! =D
