aww, what a typo. the demo itself was very solid though.
nice feeling over stream! :)
AHHHHH!!111
Solid.

outrageous typo!!
absolutely incredibly beautiful production
EXTREMELY MASSIVE

Awesome visuals, creates its own world!
great transitions, objects... congrats you made me happy
88 mb? 0_o Werkkzeuug 4? )
yeah, WZ4. and not optimized yet. FINAL?
Niceeeeeeeeeeeee
I really have no clue how I could make that typo :D Read it as 'ove for the time being, or something.
Excellent demo. Fairytale-like atmosphere, greatly enhanced by the wonderful soundtrack, and it ran extremely well on my PC (something I don't dare to expect from the Fairlight/CNCD demo). This demo just oozes atmosphere, it's a brilliant experience.

We want the final one!
Also, the big bada boom in the final scene is welcome (ala fr-041).

what a cool way to end breakpoint, ran fine on E8400 w7-64 and 8800gts.
I hope Farbrausch will keep releasing demos for a long time :)

Demo rules! Very nice atmosphere.
The animation of that flying animal ruins at a bit, though. It is simply too uniform.
awesome !
7,0Mb PNG textures, 10,4Mb OGG music.
i think it's just party version which can be finalized.

Avesome! I hope you release WZ4 for download someday! ;)
Nice screenshot :>
WICKED! WICKED! FARBRAUSCH IS MASSIVE!

reminds me of shadow of the beast.
great demo
great demo
yes!
good screenshot \o/
A bit ASD-ish (yeah, typical 2010 comment).
At the very beginning I was like "oh yeah, thats something I could enjoy" and then, it went all flyby and beautiful, very nice rendering and and.. and.... and... got bored.
Yeah it's awesome technically. But still, the more it kept going, the more I disliked it. And the music didn't help at all.
So it's my piggy.

breathtaking
Nice nice, great rendering, crowds management, etc.. but i agree it miss something to be really unforgettable ( the music perhaps )
what kaneel said
Ho and i forgot. I always got a Lost device error when I want to launch it in fullscreen in Vista 64.

WZ2 at least...
IN-CRE-DI-BLE. Superb final of a breathtaking democompo.
Liked it on the stream. Doesn't run on my PC.
Can someone put it on youtube please?
Can someone put it on youtube please?
really wonderful in all aspects (maybe besides that bird anim). beautiful production! also, a big big hand to wayfinder for the truly amazing soundtrack! i tried to guess who made it during the show, but failed :) great work.
Huge. Massive. Great.
sick in a good way. i loved the fantasy vibe.
Yup :)
what u2 said.
I get a sudden reboot of the PC in the middle of the demo. Will try again later. Vista + 8800 GTS.
By golly that's good! :)
Great demo!!!! Hamburger Jungs halt ;)
Awesome! =)
The visuals absolutely rock! Soundtrack is kinda boring to me. I miss the "power".
"only" a nice fly-by and not as memorable as youknowwhichdemo, but again, nice.
One of the best sofar!
wow again
This demo is so unbelievable! Awesome mood plus scenes so beautiful and stirring they seem to come right from the heart of mankind's innermost lair of imagination. Most touching and inspiring!
iq made ixaleno.
TBC animated it.
Farbrausch made it dark and put the creatures and the atmosphere.

wonderful
Beautiful dark atmosphere, it was a really nice finale to all of it.
(However at places it's really slow on my machine, and sound begins to stutter painfully, which I don't really understand... c2d 1.8Ghz and GTX260 is really that old already? oh and Win7 x64)

transported to a new world. Loved the flocking birds revealed over a rock near the start. Ran smooth.
k, I'm currently uploading HD to YouTube. Should be available in an hour (my upload bandwidth is not the fastest).
yep great finalé, gorgeous well balanced visuals, music was nice composition but needed more oomph, gonna watch again now :)
zoom: same spec here except with a GT240 and it ran very well here @1280, x2MS

Cool Show!! Awesome Soundtrack!
Seriously good stuff. Thank you fr for restoring my faith in yourselves.
I can't really put my finger on it but certain elements of "rove" left me cold. Please take my criticism lightly, since this is clearly a solid, rememberable demo that will rank high amongst other production of this year; make that *any* year.
But I think it had the potential to reach another level altogether if, maybe, it was rearranged differently:
for a start it felt without a purpose: a fly-over with certain, rather disconnected elements (ribbons/tower ribbon?) appearing twice or more without any significant alteration in the way the look or move.
The last minute typography (actually *all* typography) was a let-down, felt like an afterthought with its bland type and presentation. I didn't quite get the point of binary base but I'm sure optimus would find it geekily cool.
On the plus side there were a couple of killer effects (the flock and the mirroring at the beginning) and the music was fitting (albeit not very memorable).

lovely! working great on my new machine :)
I tend to agree with Navis here, some effects is really good but i felt that the direction got a bit lost.
What a pity - did we miss the final Farbrausch vs. Navis showdown on BP2010? Why didn't the ASD demo get finished in time?
Delicately arranged but seems to lack substance, so i'm with Navis mainly.
hear that amusic, it is all your fault for not finishing the music for our asm2010 planned demo in time for bp2010! :-).
But here is a thumb for being the last demo of the last breakpoint.
But here is a thumb for being the last demo of the last breakpoint.
impressive
Nice, the windowed mode is actually resizeable.
I loved it for its sheer beauty! A massive experience to see this on the big screen. Although I wouldn't have missed those facehuggers.
Anyone else expected to see some alien easter eggs during that demo? ;)

Video?
un-fucking believable. absolutely beautiful, and also a very nice and unexpected soundtrack by wayfinder. this is just too good.
OMG outsanding, awesome soundtrack
Awesome! Lovely scenery!
Massive - in any way.
what navis said - this could be a killer demo, now it;s just yet another in long farbrausch history. far behind debris, the popular demo or even faded memories. thumb up anyway for the silver medal.
did nothing for me...
Simply breathtaking.
breakpoint time is farbrausch time
beautiful work guys :D
me likes that demo
very nice demo, nice atmosphere really, and good music
A Jesus-demo, a Lucifer-demo and now a demo named after Karl Rove. What next...
Well, this for sure roved. Nice stuff.
Well, this for sure roved. Nice stuff.
Awesome! very nice ending.
I like it, very soft and beautiful
Absolutely great atmosphere, direction and music for me. It makes fun, watching this demo and listening to the beautiful soundtrack.
Thanks for the show, guys!
Nice demo, music rocks!
this is a beautiful demo. top soundtrack also. makes me shiver.
technically on the highest end also.
technically on the highest end also.
Solid. Felt like a love-song to IQ at times though :)
Just incredible.
This is a balanced production.
Has the typical 3d fly-by wow-factor: LIghtmaps,self-shadows,enviros,..
Has the brain-factor: has effects. as the real oldtimes demos, but also focusing on showing a coherence to the spectator(off-scene or scene geek) . Guessing:
Skeletal animation?
Particles distribution?
Shader smart cool stuff like the cube-lava-cube-tentaculus.
Recursive scene inmersion on rocks?
Elastic wires.
So, this is a perfect demo. Shows-off the coder habilities, and even more important has no valium-effect coz, on every transition your ager to see what cool stuff comes next.
Well,...as negative part. Yes, transitions, are soo evident and simple. A white fade...but who cares.
Perphaps, the sinus spikes does not fit pretty much well in the planet-concept. but well, if we accept this is representing the debris-cubes native planet (as heard on some of the parts in the soundtrack,...the debris distort- effect), well..it fits. And finally, in negative aspects, the lava flow, it's just ok. expecting some "heat" fx, or some sinus movement, not just a nice orange texture.
Did not saw the winner demo neither, but I consider this prod. an instant winner.

beautiful! a whole new world in a demo )
I almost knew this was going to be voted second best demo. Nothing wrong with this demo, it's a very solid prod. Not very exciting, but solid.

Probably my favourite demo by fr.

Hmm well..
good one!
Could we have a dl-link to this soundtrack masterpiece?
I wonder how it must feel like to be confronted by fanboy expectations that are impossible to fulfill...
Well, I am happy about any fr-release, but I want to see a final version of this one, with a decent arrangement of all the gorgeous content/effects and without the texts, the party ending and unnatural flight animations. But who am I to tell you what to do? Yet another fanboy, I guess.

so athmospheric and massive... so this is how the fr-home-planet looks like.
Farbrausch in ASDish way of making demos, maybe better than ASD. Best FR demo so far, way better than Debris and Popular in my eyes. This stuff catch my attraction from beginning to end. Flawlessly directed, perfect camera moves and twists, eye catchy with oustanding, i mean FUCKING OUTSTANDING Wayfinder´s music score.
This is what I called a "perfect demo". Thank you. Moral winner of BP2010 for me.

very good demo!! awesome code, execution and music. brilliant
yep that was the last bp demo ever.. period..
great atmosphere, phantastic soundtrack! i second Cj... dl-link 4 the soundtrack please
Solid prod. Should have won!
Totally sweet visuals and a very fitting soundtrack. Started feeling very repetitive and flybyish towards the end though.
Stunningly beautiful, a real jaw-dropper! And I was shocked to see that this runs flawlessly on my older hardware. THAT'S what I call good coding.
Technically impressive (as usual) ... so: thumb UP !
thousand years
In best fr's traditionals! great! +!
Holy Shit.. What for a Demo.. This was perfect in all levels, Music, visuals.. As usual Farbrausch Delivers in all ways. Awesome, Awesome and Awesome :D
A beautiful demo, cinematic, amazing textures and brilliantly executed.
First class.
First class.
Impressive.
Amazing music & visuals. It runs smoothly on my 3 years old machine. This definitely should have won..
Everything already said.
very nice!!!
This prod is really nice and impressive... eheh, 88Mo... a possible reason that you had to increase the rules compo file size from 64Mo to 128Mo? :p
Cj, starbuck: i've recorded this track to put it on my walkman, so grab it here:
192kbps (~11 Mb) and 320kbps (~19 Mb).
To guys from Farbrausch: sorry, but i couldn't resist a temptation. It's superb track, in all possible ways. Thank you one more time for this Demo.

music: not my cup of tea
design/technology: very cool
polishing: could have been better
never the less, it made a huge impact on me in the compo and seemed to touch a spot in my mind other productions could not reach.

Oh my god, this is soooo beautiful! It's a flybye but there is something different about it. Maybe the alien out of this world landscapes, with strange ribbon creatures, flocks, alien grid twisters, dreamy places and of course the music that is so dreamy and fit sooo much with the whole thing. From one point it's like the farbrausch version of elevated in an alien world, from other points it brings back memories of the product by having an upscroller while showing more cameras. I can't say more what is the magic in there but it's really 2nd in my liking from this compo after 'wir sind einstein'.
p.s. At first I didn't got the 1000 years but when I saw another 1111 years I remembered that there are 10 types of people.

very good.
Fantastic
Suffers slightly from some weird parts, like the flying things, which are totally disconnected from the demo
But pure win in the landscaping section. Success
But pure win in the landscaping section. Success
Amazing stuff here.. it feels like the landscapes are endless, and they're filled with cool demoish creatures too. Music really took it to an extra level for me.
Visually flawless in that farbrausch-ish way. Massive atmosphere.
what Sir said :)
Massive as expected from fr. Truly a worthy compo ender!
Majestic!
It's a wonderful production with a great mood. I'm going to watch it again a few times. :)

good solid demo -- was a pleasure to see. two points of criticism though:
- became a tad repetitive after a while (especially in terms composition/colorization..)
- that flying bug/animal was horribly animated
but still, a cool and "bombastic" big-screen experience worthy of closing the compo/party with.

left me speechless few times. totaly sweet.
for me it's better than fairlight's one
very nice demo, and perfect end for BP. The best: that FR keeps doing bestest demos every couple of years.
Such a beauty.
avatar in realtime!!! ;) I was expecting a demo like this from farbrausch. thank you for this nice final demo of breakpoint.
some nice effects but the whole prod is kinda boring :/
Flocking great.
Great one!
a worthy closure of the last democompo at the last breakpoint
I liked this representation of the world as it could be without the creation of the human being
I must say this is really cool. I'm impressed.
Can please someone upload the soundtrack?
awesome show! i really liked the atmosphere during the compo.
.
what Sir said ;-)
A beautiful show. There was a very distinct atmosphere in this demo that gave me chills. Great work all round, but for me the emotive soundtrack was what stood out above everything else. Amazing composition that captured the mood just perfectly.
thumb up for releasing this very pro demo while preparing breakpoint.
Fantastic!
Way to say goodbye to BP, with a HUGE bang :) . This was fantastic...I've watched it many times already :D . The birds felt a bit cheesy, but still looked very cool...and that is quite literally my only complaint. Soundtrack is one of the greatest ever produced, especially with the ambient sounds matching the scenes. Wonderful :) Deserved to win, though.
true
This demo started off *really* well, there were some scenes which reminded me of Avatar even... but then what? Just more or less the same scenes again and again with different camera angles... For example, if you have the same "mechanical flying fish" on screen during the last 2 minutes, you shouldn't loop the same animation again and again without any variation.
While both the visuals and the music are great, this demo is less than the sum of its parts, simply due to a lack of overall design.

Nice and beautiful. For some strange reason, filled me with sadness though. Maybe because of the last Breakpoint?
Awesome landscape, great music, nice effects.
However the flying thing animation is really nothing to rave about and some effects just seemed not to fit in.
However, really really nice one!

I really liked this one, visually impressive, and a slower pace, I felt it worked well - different in it's own way :)
To be honest, the first thing that crossed my mind was "overambitious". To me, this demo is trying to be epic in every respect, but then it just about falls short of its own goals. But without a doubt, there's some really good stuff to see here as well. Loads of blood, sweat and tears must have been required to produce a very good demo. Well, and that should be celebrated.
No doubt, should have won. It creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere here, which is not often the case in a demo.
fantastic!
Cool prod, I especially like the twinkles in the snow. Fantastic use of colourtone and light, the lava channels are beautiful. Also crazy geometry cleverness.
Small criticism: fading out the music was bad. Not that fading out is wrong but the visuals didn't complement it and the music didn't sound like it was meant to fade, it sounded like you were suffocating the music to cram it into the demo length.
I hope the final has addressed this. Perhaps a scene was cut?
I hope the final has addressed this. Perhaps a scene was cut?
I liked this a lot. One bit more than fairlights actually because of the direction.
My personal Favourite in the compo.. Too bad it only get second. Even thinking on it let me get a big smile in my Face, same only happened before with the Fr-025 - and its still my second favourite.. right now after that one... Biggest Respect... I love that one so much - Soundtrack runs in my player on and an from now on :D
Meh. Also, I don't know who said this at the party but he was absolutely right: if you're coding terrains, it's now an unwritten rule to make it look better than Elevated. Especially in a demo.
and for all who wants to listen to the Music... recorded it while watching as cbr 320 mp3 :) sorry for the slow download :D

Good
wow, that was AWESOME! I was watching it with my mouth open, speechless at the end.
thumbs for beginning and ambition, whatever that flying thing was got old though
massive!
though, somehow the soundtrack didn't fit for me, don't know why.
though, somehow the soundtrack didn't fit for me, don't know why.
Nice! I liked the day/night cycle and the greetings pullback especially.
For some reason I also find it to be an oddly 'retro' demo. The music and the whole concept feel very late 90's. This is not a bad thing, mind you, but somehow when the sinewave-spikes appeared it made total sense.
As always, more could've probably been squeezed out of the idea, but it's still a fine demo.

Well it consumed up 2GBs of ram.
Still generated quite an atmosphere here.
Just a technical question: Could the size of it be reduced? Just to remember the old debris times...

can wayfinder post the original mp3 here pls. i love that track!
phantasmagoric!
Mega cool!
Best demo ever (to me). I never felt these inner feelings while watching a demo. Probably because I am an old schooler and this demo gathers everything from the past, the present and... the future.
Thank you.
Thank you.
goosebump material, just excellent!
Anything like a scenario? Efficient color grading btw...
BTW just a personal opinion: I would have liked it better, if the infinitive zoom into the planet in would have been reversed into the pull back from the planet, placed at the end of the first half of the demo, as the final scene.
This is just *beautiful*.
I was thinking recently that Debris was the best demo you ever produced, but now I'm wondering which of those two it is. This one succeeds in its wow effect, and the emotion of the end of Breakpoint is very present for sure. Maybe it's not as well finished (bird animation, a few simple transitions) as Debris, but at this point, this would be the difference between wonderful and even better.
Thank you guys; have a good rest.

Some parts were quite cheesy and the animation of that bird thingy annoyed me, but nothing too bad. But why always ribbons? Oh well, I have them too on my next intro.
I dont remember if i have already commented on this demo, but I can say this again. Awesome demo, in every aspect. Visually best one from farbrausch.

Instant love.
I'm not interested in slow-paced 3D flybys, so this obviously isn't for me. Still, it's thoroughly well designed, and the music is fitting.
I can see why people say they were sad while watching this demo. It has a whole "goodbye scene" vibe, the opposite of "Hello World!". It was presented at the very end of the last compo at the last breakpoint, so I find it fitting.
I just prefer demos that don't make feel so depressed, but hey! If it brings me down that means it's working, right? It means it's well done.
...so congrats!

Really beautiful demo but way too long so I got bored after a few minutes of watching. I do adore the soundtrack though, way to go Wayfinder! :)
Hey, great job! ;)
not bad :D <3
OK. Nice.
Very good looking, but tame.
Thumb up for the graphical appeal...

Meh! Dissapointed!.
Pretty cool, like the music, but the visuals are just a little bit repetitive.
Best demo ever. Neat soundtrack.
Just curious. Would it be possible to do this Demo in less then 1MB, like Debris?
Very nice, brilliant music.
Had to watch on capped, crashed twice during loading after reboots :/ By the looks of it, it crashed just about when the loading was over and the loading bar became the first scene. XP32/nvidia9800/2gb ram, possibly oldish drivers.

nice new content from farbrausch this time.. well done guys :)
enjoyed it several times already.
beats 1st place hands down.

Superb visuals and soundtrack. This should have come first.
I showed this to my mum, and she said:
- "This is more harmonic than the other one" (Agenda Circling Forth, that is).
- "I bet those flying Spaghetti things are pretty common."
- "And there goes all the Spermazoids!" (particles in the end)

Breathtakingly beautiful, well done!
Beautiful and astonishing. Loved every second of this one. Should have won the compo.
Music is STUNNING... But FLT FTW ;)
Very solid production, good work!
Excellent demo!
visuals do worth 2nd place, but the music spoils it all and makes it almost unwatchable.
the same thing happens with every ASD demo for me (except i also usually hate their style).
the same thing happens with every ASD demo for me (except i also usually hate their style).
It is quite literally the "Never Ending Story" of demos! Seriously, thats the film I think of while watching it, from the track to the general atmosphere.. any inspiration there? lol. Anyway, it was a great end of compo / breakpoint demo and shows that the scene spirit is most certainly still there!
Watching it again and i must make my piggy to a thumb up. It could be 5% better, but then again it`s few demos that are better then this one. It`s just that the expectations is so much higher for those who have made quality prods in the past. I would give it 9 out of 10.
A flyby and so what? as long as it is extremely well done and it is! Fantastic "world creation" here. Music gets the mood.
some nice scenes (i love the towerscene) but the rest somehow doesn't make it for me.. can't explain it atm. i'll watch it again :)
I think what makes a flyby slightly annoying is if it's all randomly chosen static meshes/objects (where the most effect-like property is rotation) but this has interresting details and effects here and there and thus makes you wait for the next surprise. Also the music and design makes it a soothing experience for me which I like. Thanks!
OMG this is SO BORING! Still awesome visuals... the graphics are just perfect (apart from the bird things that are seriously crummy). Thumbs up for the visuals but PLEASE try to avoid putting everyone to sleep with the music next time.
Very impressive demo. Breathtaking visuals.
Better than fairlight's, I didn't remember to write.
Well, i do like Never Ending Story :) Extremely beautiful visuals, flybying and lovely music for my ears, although i can understand if someone finds it (the music) a bit wussie.
ho, forgot the thumb
I liked the mountains. The other stuff was rather unfitting. especially the bad animations of those flying thingies...
The lava/magma stuff reminded me of some stages from Super Mario Galaxy, which is a good thing.
I agree with some of the commenters that the animation of those bug-like creatures was way too jerky.
The soundtrack is massive, and overall it's a great demo.

visually not my thing, but an amazingly well done soundtrack.
Great demo. Great music. A lots of "stupid boids". But after watching rove and FLT demo at home, I think It's a well deserved second place. There's a nice sparkling detail texture working everywhere :).
I enjoyed the mirror effects, simple as they are, but still effective in this setting. And there's an infinite zoomer. What more can one wish for!
Really massive experience at the big screen. At home I mainly enjoy it because of the cool music
It's just wonderful. A masterpiece !
I love this one very much <3 Everything is so harmonic.
OMG ... thats realtime ?
Really really nice !!!
Really really nice !!!
Really enjoyed, looks very impressive in 1080p.
The more I see this demo I think it gets better!
Beautiful scenes, nice atmosphere, relaxing music, Farbrausch quality, what else... :)
Stunning. Simply stunning.. and I LOVE the soundtrack!
Epic and massive like i want it... The tune had some slight cheese leakage but it worked along the visuals afterall.
so glad you pulled this out to close the last bp. a massive and fitting end to the compos at breakpoint, like a summary of all that's been great about pc demos over the last few years.
it felt a bit subdued, sad even - like the "blockbuster compo-killer" vibe was (intentionally) toned down - but it's all the better for it.

Very impressive gfx capabilities of werkkzeug4.
really cool. and the soundtrack rules !
I love this product.
Nice one!

another quality farbrausch production
\o/
\o/
wow, this sets some new standards. awesome!
so many triangles!
Farbrausch.. we rove you!! =) Contrary to Navis, i found this demo much to my liking even though there was far less content differentiation than I'd be a happy panda with. I also found the soundtrack to be excellent and it excited me very much. The only complaint I have is about that blasted bird... damn I wish I had control of a virtual shotgun in Rove to hunt it down!!
As for Rove being ASDish.. uh.. I don't see any ASDish element there (except of course the ASD logo in the greets..)
Finally on an unrelated note, it's funny how most of the groups greeted in this demo did not submit a demo to BP..

I liked the recursive fly-into-part and the look-for-the-greetings-part before it. No rendering bugs, Digitally-Imported-like music gave me a bit of that sense of wonder as with your earlier demos, that firefly alien looked a bit stupid flying so slow, and I agree it was a bit the same for a little too long time. A second world/change of theme at half-time would have kicked ass. If the memory of it makes me want to watch it again I will thumb it up!
100% perfect demo for me. Awesome visuals and especially soundtrack. The zoomer is a real killer! When watching demos like this I know why I love the demoscene so much. Thank you!
PERFEEEECCCT
The massive pillars in the sky with the birds, this stuff really imakes me want to quit everything and just make demos. thats a very good thing.
so many different aestheticly pleasing scenes. awsome.

hmmm, it doesn't quite get to me.
It's very atmospheric, some of the scenes are great ( the "Lava Beast")
but it turned out to be a very loooong flyby even if the demo isn't that long. Adding the fact that it refused to start and I've got no clue WTF you need today to run a top notch PC demo (FLT^CNCD at least ran like a slideshow) ...plus the terrible terrible font ... holy crap please get rid of this typographic nightmare.
...but a bad font can't destroy the content of the endscroller, which was heartwarming :)

works in wine on geforce 7!
And goes very well with beer.
felt very melancholic at the party. great work!
Rules!
ooh yeah! please do it again - and bring the family to norway soon!
Wer die size braucht hat es kapiert[tm] :)
Also apart from some smaller shortcomings mentioned this really was the demo we all wanted as closure for breakpoint, don't you think? Truly great execution and modelling but I'm quite happy with Fairlight leading the compo after all. Apart from that what blockbuster said.

Massive, complex, epic...
Wonderfull and massive ( 88mb :) )
Beautiful. I would give thumbs up even for the visuals only, but also the music and design fit very nicely.. Usually I dont like so much this type of demos, but this one just works. Scenes and those flying thingies somehow bring Avatar movie to my mind.. Nice work once again!
fr <3
Despite some rough edges I think this is pretty much one of the best demos I've ever seen.
Phew!
seriously speechless.
(i want my CDC back to give one to this masterpiece!)
(i want my CDC back to give one to this masterpiece!)
loved the music, perfect mix of sadness at the start and happiness at the end
Really nice, I liked it more the second time i watched :)
Impressive, but not the best. Love the surrealism!
I'm usually not really into fly-by demos, but i loved this one. Great soundtrack and soundeffects, great visuals and great atmosphere. Love it.
Incredibly massive, and not only on the bigscreen.
The only demo sending continuous chills down my spine during 6 minutes! On top of that, I absolutely love the direction and the meaning that went into it.
(On the minus side, the two last minutes felt out of place and the transitions feel too samey.)

it's wow !! just wow !!
beautiful and sad
Very nice. I loved it.
Great atmospheric demo! Nice little world you built there.
Really cool visuals, and maybe one of the best pieces of music at Breakpoint this year. Kudos to Wayfinder for creating such an awesome soundtrack!
Only flaws: ugly animated insects(?) and white fadeout, white fadein

very clever, and very awesome! loved the soundtrack too :)
a real beauty.
great music as well.
great music as well.
sadly atmospheric
Really cool
A more completed comment after watching a couple of times.
+ mood
+ music
+ swarms
+ tones
+ patchy fog
+ cell skin
- flying creature animation
- lack of story
- WoW like camera
- rock shader (lacks some high frequency noise, doesn't it?)
Am I right seeing in your five legged octopus a reference to rgba_slisesix ?

Midnight Engrish won't work... sorry about that.
powerfull!
OK, finally, there is a tomorrow!
bit repetetive- rulez, but not superhardcoreawesome.
great! once again farbrausch wows!
Well... It looks beautiful. But it's a bit boring. :/
FARBRAUCH GOES ASD, especially soundtrackwise.
still a no go with a GTX 280 and 197.45 (latest) drivers
--- the share-shit in the dialogue !

is it just me or is it more "3d" in Catalyst 9.11 or 12 vs 10.3? or is it just the booze wearing off??
well made and with lots of interesting ideas. I wasn't super keen on the animation of the flying creature, also didn't really like how everything is very clean looking - but it still rules! I particularly enjoyed the glowing towers and the way the mood changes when the lighting is dimmed down :)
watched iit several times now. I really love the music! <3
I love it!
Three things:
1. To me, the planet looks like it's straight from an Arthur C Clarke novel (which is a good thing).
2. Absolutely perfect visual quality and fitting music.
3. That bird animation really sucks :)

i could complain about this and that,'cause normally i don't like this type of demos.
but hey, this one has a nice flow and extremely polished visuals. i also like the idea of using sound effects to carry the visuals. plus the endscroller creates a great "end of an era"-mood.

best on breakpoint 2010
I don't really understand where this is going. Feels rushed. But it's a lot of work and I know I won't forget the visuals. By the way, somehow remind me to Field's Interim Camp:

Magnificent!
Ziphoid was right when he said the PC compo had good demos. Ugh! They always put the best ones last! I'd gone to sleep after the first ten.
But yeah, Masterful work from the Colour-rich world. :)

absolutely amazing! winner of the compo! music is awesome!
Where is north from here?
For me it was just another 3d flyby-ish demo, ok but I will hardly watch it again.
Incredibly beautiful.
yup.. would give another thumb for this..
This demo has grown on me.
Basically what Zavie said.
Basically what Zavie said.
Somehow this leave me with the fealing thats somethig is missing? It never really gets interesting or peaks - it just flatlines :/
Music wasn't my cup of tea, but the visuals are surely beautiful. The beginning was the most interesting part, got a little dull after a while. A strong thumb up anyways, as usual :)
amazing demo in all aspects. I simply love the mood, the music, the visuals... everything! :)
loved it.
I've watched the video of this several times and it continues to get better and better each time.
Wonderful atmosphere with music to die for. Simply wonderful.
A truly great demo to mark the end of the BreakPoint demo party.
Well done to everyone involved in its creation.

D3DCompiler_42.dll missing? What comes next? Do i have to program my own demos?
Wtf. I've got DX 11. :(
Downloaded the DLL and now it works. Good Job. :P
Anyways, i liked the mountains more than the rest of the stuff... Did i said that already? Oh snap..

epic prod though...thoughtful with a great soundtrack :)

@Exin: after watching the demo, make sure that you delete the right (D3DCompiler_42.dll) file :)
shuffle2: Fail in what? Using an operating system that's NOT SO 2001? ;-)
.retro: Yeah, its really easy and fast to find that file under Windows 7, take that XP! :P
Nah Just think of it. I know it would´have been cool to release a MS DOS 3.3 demo in 1996, but....
Anyways, since you wanted to read it:
+ Nice mountains, even if they are shown through some caleidoscope effect.
+ Okayish music for a Farbrausch Demo.
+ Good Pace
+ Nice Greetings
- Flying things have very small wings compared to their body and their movement is rather silly. Looks like a standard Sine curve has been used for animation.
- These waving concrete reinforcements remind me of work. Which is not a good thing. ;-)
- Telescope sticks as Water? Nah, lets stick to some water effect.
Now I'm back reading funny stuff about internet dramas.

Best regards to Wayfinder with his amazing track!!!!
nice one, a bit too long tho
I am with Exin on the stiff-as-a-board bird animation. Apart from that it was a pretty good ride!

Correct!
nice
ah, a good old epic demo with half a story and a teardrop. excellent tune with five layers of cheddar, great ride all in all. a bit repetitive visually, but that's ok for epic demos!
the demo. it's so beautiful...
Dément...
Beautiful music and a fitting end to the Breakpoint era.
OH MY GOD DID I REALLY SAW THAT?!?!?!
That's a best demo ever, at my taste!
Amazing!
Beautiful!
It's not less then a WORLD!!
All cool, all perfect, I LOVE YOU FR!!!1

this is so beautiful
I think soon it will be in all-time top :)
It just _must_ be there.
It just _must_ be there.
So far, my favourite demo of 2010.
Absolutelu huge scope. Some parts seem a bit unfinished like the flying-bone-bat-thingy and lava looks a bit dull.. but other than that - Amazing.
BIG thumb to Wayfinder. I rarely enjoy demo music anymore, but this one sends shivers up my spine.
btw, Should've won the BP10 democompo.

Awesome landscape scene! Awesome everything! Loved everything in that demo!
Congrats men!

Excellent, moody, interesting production. A top notch stuff.

I don't really know what to think about this one. On the other hand, I like the idea of mixing "natural" landscapes to synthetic elements, though I am not sure if this was the point of the creators ... but then the whole end product feels too plasticky, too smooth, both visually and aurally, the fractal-generated(?) mountains(?) look too obviously like fractals also. Nitpicking, I guess, but going to go with a piggy.
wtf, I forgot the thumb
the first half is boring but then it became better and the music too. solid, big production. but half and half is piggy.
Loves it. :)
Quite nice. A bit boring, though. Love the "logos only" credits part. :D
another forgotten thumb..
forgot. rulez.
I really like the colours.
very good demo
totally rulez
always gets me in "very" sentimental mood while watching... Thank you FR for a worthy Farewell-to-Brealpoint demo.
Epic scenes, I really love it!
feels a bit too clean and shiny but the "zoomer" effect is great.
This is probably my favourite Farbrausch "flyby". The wistful mood, one of the best soundtracks ever, memories of reading the end scroller at the last Breakpoint ever... magical.
Moved me to tears the first few times. A perfect farewell gift.
Me favourite Farb
another long forgotten thumb. always gets me with this amazing 'farewell breakpoint' mood.
soulless.
it has a soul.
I've been watching this one a lot lately. For some very personal reasons it's become one of the most important demos of recent years to me and I attach a lot of emotions to it. Here's to 1000 years of Breakpoint!
I would like give additional thank you to everyone involved making this, especially Wayfinder.

the mood is great, but it's such a shame it runs out of ideas around halfway into it. still, 99% of the scene would just wish they could do something of this scale.
@gargaj: yeah yeah sure, but on this prod they added something "special" that makes you remember this demo more than others :)
a kind of nostalgic feel... hard to describe :D

Affirmative! It's like you've seen all the scenes already but not in this implementation. not to forget the very supportive muzax. :)
incredible effort, gfx, execution, polish and tune.
but it didnt catch my emotions on the bigscreen and it doesnt catch them now. just feels a bit too generic, sorry.

"Und was macht man nachts am besten? - Kuscheln!" *hihihi* <3
canonical farbrausch design, this. smooth everything: animations, camera movements, lighting, textures, and framerate. It has just enough shiny things in it, and is not post-processed to hell.
ok ok your deserve this
Nice visuals until very boring
just beautiful
Another generic FR production.
what Gargaj said. and a big + for the soundtrack which even works without the demo.
eyecandy
nice, high quality production
hm, just rewatched this two-three months ago and it struck me that this god-less thing still has something going for it. This is not a demo I would make myself, but I still like it. The seamingly endless zoom-out sequences probably helpes. Solid stuff, in its way.
Very good demo, I like the bird things.
Love it, even though I wasn't at bp'10 :)
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Totally loved the atmosphere which was amplified by proper soundtrack. Definitely a must watch!
<3 the music
Woot
I just watched this this and was reminded of this demo. Is it coincidential?
This demo kicks ass. Amazing soundtrack, amazing graphics, amazing everything.
great trip!
Love this demo, I want to fly around in this world. I like the integration of the demo-ish objects with the alien type terrain. Interesting to read that everything is hand modeled yet at the same time it looks like procedural style objects. Quite cool.
I really liked it. The pace, the music, the visuals :)
Demo was amazing and the soundtrack was also beautiful!
Очень HD :) Работает AMD R9 270x ( 13.12 ) :)
Very well executed, but feels somewhat soulless to me.
Can't believe I didn't thumb this one up, given it's quite an all-time favourite for me.
Technically impeccable, beautiful GFX and VFX, wonderful soundtrack.
magic.
Perfectly perfect !
Very nice and calming .
This demo is just amazing! One of my all-time favourites.
Insane and beautiful! Where are these kind of demos nowadays? It´s so sad!

Kind of nice looking at.
One of the best demos i ever saw
This demo is blocked on Youtube by: "This video contains content from FSF Media Network, who has blocked it on copyright grounds." - what is this?
oh how neat
totally missed back then. very solid and good looking, music is just beautiful! :)
even FR can ASD ;)
I vividly remember running this and other Farbrausch demos on my dads computer in winter around christmas; as my machine just wasn't beefy enough. Snow outside, hot coffee on the table and my dad standing next to me, curiously interested what I'm doing there. Tried to explain him the demoscene as good as I can, and what the thought process of my demos at that time was - and how I would love to do a demo just as good as Rove at one day.
That afternoon will always stay in my mind when I think back on my father, he sure is long gone - but that demo brings back those wonderful memories <3

I never thumbed this up? Fixing that.
great trip
awesome
epic
This demo is so epic, as expected from Farbrausch. Love the vibe, and the soundtrack makes justice to this demo. Some of the landscapes reminded me a bit of those ones you would see in Turrican.
Excellent.
Gorgeous!
