doesn't show anything on winvice dtv...
cute.
@chriz74: that's because you're an utter moron.
@rest: works fine on a real PAL DTV3 and in the latest WinVice DTV.

Molen powerrrrr

Nice looking twister :)
It worked great on winvice dtv. Nice twister, a pity that you coulodn't finish the demo though.
twister \o/
@scoutski - I'm telling you it doesn't work on latest winvice dtv. Your code sucks big time.
it's a piece of wasting time shite
@chiz74: you're the only one who can't run it. makes you wonder eh?
But considering your past input here on the forum it actually makes sense.

Works great in Vice. Althrough just a converted photo and a stwister in 2 screens...
Works perfectly in WinVICE DTV. Nothing too special really, but worth a tumb.
mkay.
is okay.
yes it works. it's garbage nevertheless.

Care to explain why? Does not work on emu (which is bs anyway) == code sucks?
chriz74: Not bad for a demo, reconsider your views.
Rules anyway.

To counter "chriz74" brain-malfunction.
Well done !
twister looks nice, but the awesome logo deserves a mention too :)
not that much to thumb on, but okay
Wow.
I like it. Are you sure Tim Follin isn't featuring on the soundtrack? ;)
Definetly worth a thumb, and Scout: Chriz74 doesn't like my stuff either - don't worry about it. :)
Video?
Ok.
Video please
yay :) nice twistro. works fine here on linux-vice \o/
Amazing :)
I found a video of this prod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbERYmKd_BE
Its okay, thumb for boobs.
Its okay, thumb for silicon.
Really the "C64" should be removed from the name of this thing.
(It's like if I was making at Atari ST clone fitting in Quickshot joystick, but then decided to add a chunky mode, true color, a copper, a blitter, and why not a 3d accelerator, then made demos for it. Would definitely have no relation with an Atari ST anymore, no ?)
That being said the logo is nice, the music is ok, just not much too see...

yeah an atari st clone has definitely no relation with an atari st. well said :P
this demo is not much tho. thumb up for the hw.
this demo is not much tho. thumb up for the hw.
oswald: Just saying that this hardware should be renamed 'DTV' instead of 'C64 DTV'. I'm not sure how correct Wikipedia is, but when I see: "chunky" 256 color mode, additional blitter for fast image transformation, 8 bit digital sound, additional options for envelope generators, the amount of memory available even on the first models, dma transfert, blitter and super CPU mode... show me where the "C64" is.
I think if a HW can emulate the c64 99% it can be even soldiered to a full blown c64 then it's rightly called c64 something. Nobody looks at it as a real c64 if that is your problem. Everyone knows what it is. and the HW is pretty damned close from the programming point of view. cpu: same instruction set, and you have some extra registers for banking, new gfx modes, blitter and thats it. ...8 bit digital sound only if you cőu handfeed one register, thats not much really.
blitter is pretty damned slow also if you'd like to know, doesnt helps a lot, except if you want to do some smallish bobs. cpu can run close to 4mhz if you're clever, instructions has to be 4 byte aligned, and any non 4 consecutive read/write cycle will slow you down. its an animal between a500 and c64 really.
nice one, good music!. too simple, tho.
"Everyone knows what it is.", well I beg to differ. Yes I knew this thing was a recreated C64 in a joystick, except I did not know it had all these improvements. I just started to realise that when I saw these screenshots and videos that obviously are way better compared to what a c64 can do.
But if nobody see the DTV has a c64 then that's fine with me. Just hope that people don't judge the dtv demos with in mind the c64 limitations.
Thanks for explaining the details anyway, is there any web resource you would recommend to learn more about this thingy?
