I wish a talented guy like paniq would do some real live stuff, instruments (electronic or otherwise) and all. This looks just too canned/prepared and the fader/mixer box seemed to be doing very little differently than a glorified winamp playlist would have.

I'm not saying it was bad. I just have the slight suspicion that it could have been a lot more interesting. I mean, I know the tunes, I'm not interested in a near 1:1 "live" replica, but something different/more exciting instead. :)

I was not at the party, don't know paniq's work - sorry - but looking at the video, i don't see the point in moving 4 knobs to be considered as a live performance, quite static and boring... his music probably deserve a lot more.

but the vid is running at like 8 frames per second here ( even the stream was way better ! ) , tried different renderers already, but same with any of em ! dont think thats intended by having a filesize of 800mb+ !

i made this video, it's recorded directly from the stream. as i'm a musician (and i know nearly nothing about video stuff, etc...), i asked a friend how to set the codecs to encode the raw recording. so please don't be mad at me, this was my first time video encoding work :)

the dj set ruled, it was fun to hear it through the stream, i guess it was much much better hearing it live at tum.

@tomaes: I'm sorry if I let you down. I would love to do something less sterile on stage, yet I'm not able to play any instrument fluidly - I'm not a musician, I mainly compose music; every detail of a track is hand-picked.

I admit that it is hard to bring something new, un-canned to a DJ performance; the only thing left for me is to play more stuff that is unreleased, and relatively obscure.
