Weird bug

Yes, yes you are.
Nice. I like the city scene, scene in the screenshot and treedee objects.
VIDEO PLEAZE :P
Yep
JORMAAAAAAHHHHSSS!!! Koolest 40k in a loooooong time.
Who needs video when there is winUAE?

Very awesome!
didn't wee see all of this stuff on "Major Release"?

Megane Rellu does not support gfx cards. It always runs in a PAL screenmode.
instant thumb for this line in the .readme
The A500 made a Guru after the jelly ball just before the roto-zoomer -
#00000003.00C091C8.
Watched it on the big thingie and it was just awesome!
Pretty decent intro. Didn't like the music but the rotozoomer was nice.
Too much code recycling (feels like Major release in 40k) and not working on 68000 means no thumb. Landscape part (screenshot) is nice though.
it works on 68000
Not on my A500, crashes right before the roto-zoomer.
nice prod with seen before stuff but this time in a 40k
Cong. 4 dA 1st place;)
Cong. 4 dA 1st place;)
Crashes in latest WinUAE beta too, right where it does for the others - just after the rubberball.
Found the problem, it's here:
Under certain circumstances the index register which is used to read from some table for the rotozoomer (I guess) contains 1 which the 68000 apparently doesn't like.
will fix it.
Code:
cmp.w #3,d0
bcs.b .skip
add.w d0,d0
.skip
...

awesome
It was pretty much all the Major Release effects but still nice :)
Yay, cool little intro that made my day. Effects are well done, as was to be expected. I found the music got a lot better towards the end (cityscape zoomer, rubber sphere, rotator, 3d), where it fitted the effects really nicely.
well kinda recycled material of course but really good for an a500 40k intro nonetheless.
Since it does work on 68000 now ;D and since it's quite decent for an ECS 40k (despite the recycling), here's your thumb. =)
lots of a500 goodness crammed into 40k. the compo highlight of FAP'09.
Nice recycling and cramming stuff into 40k, soundtrack was cool as well. Good thing about that fix too :)
Very like that, but Major Release still rules ;o)
for 40k
<3
looong music-precalc, but absolutely worth it !
first release in 5 years, hope there´ll be more again !

Yeah, especially after trying to understand assembly in teh source code. 300 kilos of pure essence!

what serpent said
nice!
Liked it quite a lot.. except the zik. Brings back _good_ feelings from past.
Major release in 40k!
It roxx. And finally (since '93?) someone uses sample generation and packing in 40KB :P
better than most of the amiga *demos* i've sen :)

40k.
welcome back jormas!
Really nice! Though it was quite clear the effects were from Major Release. Still, very enjoyable intro
Some recycling, but rocks nevertheless.
approved :)
Awesome!
Jep
da jormas ftw!
it's pretty good i guess, but indeed it looks recycled. so i gave the thumb to `Major release' instead.
Just saw the youtube link (lazy option, I know). Pretty cool. It made my day this morning.
Good effects (that I need to test on the real thing soon) and a very decent tune.
It's great to see no-AGA prods nowadays. ;)

nice, but not my cup tea
My taste!
very special, crazy. i give a piggy, tho.
Not bad, eh.
vesuri, another 5 years and you'll do a 4k version of major release? ;)
love
Great!
Watched it on YouTube. ;) Weird ending music. Not a bad demo.
Nice penis logo BTW!
Thumbs up for reentering the Amiga scene, but I had hoped that you wouldn't just have recycled the effects from Major Release. So this time it has to be a piggie.
Is ok
A joyful entertaining release. Me likes!
Stolen codes from several demos -
I can recall Pygmy Projects - Extension (1993)[very great demo] and one more from ??? - old demo which I can't remember....
I hate when people just cut some lines and use them without crediting 'em!

Someone could use an extensive tour around the clue shoppe.
Everything in here is recycled from Major Release. At least Major Release had cool music.
Because it is 40k - because watching that one after having watch major release is just boring.
Great ad for Major Release, disapprove of the recycling.
1oo% cool
weird, coder colors and old fx.. but worth definetly a thumb! :)
Horrible music, but some nice visuals.
To Vesuri,my deepest apologies. You are right I don't know anything about coding. To rephrase I find some resemblance with effects produced long time ago.
If for example you see the second effect in your demo it looks like as an old ambk (amos) effect I have ever encountered.
I am sorry again if I offended you it was not my idea to criticize because my english stinks (never been to school that long enough).
Sorry!

Sorry!
kenshigros, if you'd watched more than two demos you'd know that quite many demos use effects similar to other demos.
c relou
Watches like a remix of Major Release which I liked much better. The music hurts me, but it's a matter of taste, obviously. Thumb up for pressing the major release effects into 40k!
I watched the video and was impressed to see the good old visuals reassembled in a 40K!
Is there any way to run this on an AGA chipset? I tried KillAGA, but the only thing I got was the music with a black screen. :(

Worked perfectly on my CD32. I have an extension with 4MB Ram and a hd, but aside from that, it's like a vanilla 1200.
Wow vesuri, it's an impressive amount of work to make it in a 40k.
looks and sounds great!
@pintcat:
I think there is no need to "kill" anything.
I ran the party version on the high end classic config (AGA-060) just fine.

not my cup of tea...
Visuals are ok, music a bit too harsh for my old ears but synced to FXs which is good.
Thumb up for the Gouraud Shader and the Poly-Flight!
Nice!
nice job
:)
@d0DgE: You're right, it DOES run without any no-AGA tricks. I managed to watch it on a real machine now :) But for some unknown reason it sometimes still ends up with the black screen.
jormas is back :>
music
rolls of text on a red logotype graphic
rotating around shadow of skyscrapers, blur, zooming in/out
tunnel spiraling
colorfull rasters graphic
flying over vector graphics landscape
very colorfull ball bouncing
roto-zoom speachange of music
very well lighted 3D geometric figures rotating

Awesome effects, strange tune.
Good.
Awesome, must watch it on my CDTV next time. Please make some comparably 0wnz0r OS X/PPC demos as well!
I was entertained lightly with this, despite the so-so mod, then the fucking goraud-shaded polys hit my face and knocked me out.
PS I didn't see Major Release before so that helped. Now I watched it, and I understand the criticism by many in here. Still, this is in 40k.
mmmmkay
Insane effects (one-frame gouraud polys, the light-sourced ball and more)!!
Also enjoyable, looong precalc, at least on my 010 :)

Enjoyed it a lot!
(concerning the AGA thing, I ran it on WinUAE emulating a A4000 with oS&Ks3, AGA, no problems encountered...)

Sweet
mm, gouraud shading
Nice one :)
somehow I love that music. and I see a lot of major release in there =) though well done!
C'est pas Relou du Tout ! :-)
I like it !!!
I like it !!!
Good! Goooo! GOOOOD!
@vesuri:
1. Is the red sky BG a dithered gfx-bitmap?
2. How did you managed to obtain such a nice Gouraud efx on the vector parts? Gorgeous!

Kiitos paljon Vesuri!!
rulez. this is how you use 40k of storage space.
I like it
Great!
Quite jawdropping!
Nice Amiga 500 demo with many classic effects and nice music, just saw it for the first time during the Forndata Amiga Demoshow during their dinner
For 40K, impressive.
40k packed with effects and sound for A500. Some weak parts in the music though.
Yes man! It's 40k! WTF!
Vesuri the man for everything ;).
Fantastic, as always, good old Jormaz.
