First step in the demo world.
Hope it's not too crappy.
Supply with W3C, less than 400b.
looks quite nice

With all the lycos and google analytics shit, this is certainly not 512b.... :) Maybe also change the pink colour into something else. :)
But thumbs up anyway, great for a firsty. :)

hmm, interresting, the XOR texture make it look like it spirals

I don't get the same effect as pictured in the screenshot in Chrome or Opera. Only in Firefox :\

Also I'm really skeptical about all the crap in that page.

JS prods always took all assets into consideration: HTML, CSS, images, ...

I don't get that effect either, on safari 4. I get a small bit of spiral at the bottom that soon disappears, then the screen split into green/pink with a nice wobble on one side.

BB Image for the two hidden ads on the page and less importantly for not working in 2 out of 3 rendering engines implementing Canvas.

fart
Thumbing someone down for having a crappy webhost is almost as lame as thumbing down for "doesn't work on my P166+Voodoo3". There's clearly a fully self-standing 400-byte intro buried amongst the ads.

Motivational firstie thumb...

gasman: when a prod is a webpage, what is on the webpage counts as a part of the prod.
I'm not thumbing down, but all I got was ads, it does not work on two of my browsers :p

It runs fine in FF 3.5.5
397 bytes including the script tags

Code: <script>var H=128,T=0,D=255,a=10.25;document.write("<canvas id=C height=128 width=128>");M=Math;setInterval(function(){B=document.getElementById("C").getContext('2d');N=B.getImageData(0,0,H,H);n=N.data;for(j=H;j--;)for(i=H;i--;){P=j*H*4+i*4;I=i-64;J=j-64;C=16*((3*D/M.sqrt(I*I+J*J)+T/2)^(M.atan2(J,I)*a*2+a*M.sin(T/9)));n[P++]=C;n[P++]=D-C;n[P++]=C;n[P]=D;}B.putImageData(N,0,0);T++;},33)</script>

get a proper host
doesn't work in safari
what Decipher said.

Arg sorry form my host, I MUST find a solution.

As CrzyClst write, the code is really 397 bytes long, and the add are automatically added to the webpage.
I will find a solution to present it better.

Then for the compatibility, it's true that I only test it under firefox 3.5.5, I will try it on other browsers ...
nice firsty! welcome to the scene.

makes me wonder: how come people dont aim higher? i mean, it's not that much more effort to have a full demo, even if in javascript.

Works in FF3.5.3 here, but that gets me less than half the js performance of Safari4+WebkitNightly on the same box.

Webkit compatible version pleeez! (motivational thumbsup)
