Hello there... After 2 years I publish my new chiptune-pack. If You are a
fan of synthetic sound, You've just found new, cool stuff. You can find here
9 songs (which gives You about 40 minutes of music) in various styles: as usual
- some techno stuff, some pop, ballads, and many complex melodies often with
unpredictible rhythms. (If some of them seem to be cut off, it means they were
looped originally).

I was making these chiptunes within 2 years (2000-2002) and I hope all of
'micromusic' fans will be satisfied. As usual, my pack is especially dedicated
to AY/YM chipsound maniax (the chip is in ZX Spectrum, Atari ST, Amstrad and
others). Of course all of my songs I wrote on Speccy and converted them into PC
so You will be able to listen to them using AY EMULATOR by Sergey Bulba: the
AY-3-8910, AY-3-8912 and YM2149F Emulator, Player, Converter and Music Ripper,
which You can find on http://bulba.at.kz site.

This time I don't add VTX plugin for Winamp, as I found that it doesn't
play AY/YM songs correctly. Only Sergey's AY EMULATOR can play them IDEALLY, so
You will have to download it from its official site - then You will be able to
be glad of perfect ZX Spectrum sound.

pouet is a place for demoscene productions with _code_ in it (with the exception of WiLDs)
your music pack needs an interface, otherwise it doens't belong on pouet

And why does it say "Diskmag"? Windows?

gna .. it's a zx spectrum prod; next time better build some code around it, so it would actually fit here.

i wonder why you degraded your tunes by putting them under 'windows' even ..

1) because only player for Windows can handle them.

2) Diskmad - sh*it, you are right!!! I noticed it only now. :-/

3) There is kind of scene production called music-pack. And it is such. Here is no category for music-pack, so I use music-disk. But anyway I will mail admin to change this 'diskmag' genre...

why can only windows handle files that are obviously done/for the zx?

That's specific of chiptune-scene. Often we make music on 8bit computers. And we use it on our demos or whatevah. But packs like mine are made to let other platform users listen to our work. You can listen these files only on Windows program AY_PLAYER and You will hear *exactly* the same sound like on Spectrum, but - without Spectrum. Not everybody is owner of Spectrum...

but that's perplex - you do the tunes on the spectrum and release it for everybody but the spectrum people. i would understand a zx-prod with these tunes and an additional release with them in .ay format for people who don't own a zx, but you have to admit that this is quite a strange way to put it.

dalezy, maybe cos the pc scene is the larger of the two? ;P
anyways, i'd still argue that this shouldnt be here. a zip with tunes inside it should be on a music site, not here. next time get someone to code a player for it, add a nice graphical interface, then no-one can complain.

graffik, that's why i said that this collection is a good alternative, but still an original/executable version for the zx would be the one that would fit here. (though i have to say that i made a similar mistake by adding the first issue of emissions here, that one didn't have an interface at all =)

There is nothing strange in it, dalezy. It's common. I am surprised that there exist somebody who doesn't know 'bout the habit.
And talkin' of packs on pouet... Well, maybe you are right. I thought every non-single (not one mod, not one picture ;-) etc) scene release can find a place here.
So I will be waitin' for assasin sent by the webmaster.

the best way would be to code an interface for speccy and release it along with *.ay or *.vtx files for PC users.
