Pretty strange to start with the fast music and end with the slow part. Looked pretty shiny, but sounded horriible.

The music is excellent, the visuals are excellent, but I feel they don't work well together.
I always feel if you're using soft and slow-paced visuals, you need a soft and slow-paced track to give a sense of cohesion.

There seems to be some problem with the shaders on ati cards, and since I never did shader dev on ati cards I also have no idea whats going wrong there... but will try to find out and put an ati compatible version out there in the next days... I'm also working on a video writer so I can upload a nice video of it. Linux and mac os ports should also follow, since I developed this completly on mac os x using a haskell tool (@blala I see a haskell logo there \o/)

Didn't like the 2nd part (both, music and visuals) much. The first part however is very cool. Music rocks and interesting visuals too. Should have won, much cooler than then winning 4k IMHO.

really nice with the reflections.. a little jerky on my radeon but at least it works now. i wish it had a third part! also, general request to 4k intro makers.. would it hurt to have a mode select box in the release version instead of 34890 different exe's?

Huh I'm running dual Nvidia 9600gt's and an Intel q6600. IMHO that's not too bad.
xteraco: if i was you i'd check my drivers. Being unable to run this intro as well as Bluflame's one might actually means you've got a problem with your hardware. You're the first having that problem here. Go get a clue. Update your drivers, dude.

some months ago Mentor pointed me to this paper too. I discussed with him (and with Smash too, I think) that the technique shouldn't be called "Sphere Tracing", as there is no sphere traced here, but rays. Anyway, thx for the link, I didn't find it back since Mentor showed it to me.

iq: The reason it's called sphere tracing is because the distances that you move along the rays are kind of like bounding spheres, since they have a radius of the lower-bound estimate to the nearest surface in any direction.
