sorry guys, there wasn't a 4kgfx competition.. ive added some other piccys aswell too, didnt want to release them at other parties.. hope you didnt find it offending and have a nice stay at evoke.. this years evoke seems to be big..

Nonetheless I made a 25 fps video using .kkapture - you can watch it at Vimeo.
P.S.: Only two programs (transitions and physar) in the gimmiks folder do work with my Radeon 4870 and WinXP SP3.

i think this would have been presented better if it was static (and perhaps still with music?). As a static image - this rocks - as a slide show it blows :-)
Remember it's not optimized to run as an animation at all, so, a bit of a hack job to get it into the compo (rather than not at all, in any compo). Nice try, but does require more cowbell.

Hmm.. amazing graphics, bad 4k intro on account of the framerate.. I'll judge it as graphics :)
Presentation was a bit unfortunate, because it it was so slow at the party. Also music was nonexistant. So I don't know why this came second at the party, honestly...
hey guy.. it wasn't second it was the third place and it was originally supposed to be a 4kgfx but the evoke people seem to not like that competition.. for me it was a big job to fitt in "music" and "screenplay" into an exe which was already at the 4k boundary. sadly i didn't speed up the entry even the advice of a very good coder didn't help that much because speeding up that way resulted in an even bigger exe..
And btw.. I only made this entry because i was disturbed by the bp 4k procedural graphix entries.. I had thrown out all the piccys because i don't want to make that stuff for demoparties, i'm really more into 4k and 8bit stuff.
I know. No offense, man. Still as a 4k it is not spectacular I think (music, slow, just one scene in the compo afair). With some more work this could be really, really good! When it came on in the compo I immediately thought "Man, that was a bad idea to release it in this compo/state."
Plus it doesn't run here: XP SP3 32Bit, Quadro FX 580, new drivers, recent DirectX.

hey Navis, ive put them into the screenshot because they are in the gimmiks folder as executable and sourcecode (its more like an 4k gfx compilation (i don't like to have all this stuff lying around for months, because technology and skills of the scene increase that fast).. even if its so a little faking at the screenshot.
